You could either be partying with underages and the Presets, or you can be at Lounge with the hardest hitting beats and breaks crew in Melbourne. Join us as we rock out some of the freshest tunes available at the time of purchase. This week we have a Very special interstate Guest (?) playing form 10pm - 12pm!! Mali (Perth), Shifty Sly (Released from Rehab) and Citizen.com.


Mali - Perth

Born in 1978, Perth Australia, Mali is proving to be one of Australia’s most successful female dj’s.

Having been classically trained in piano for 8 years Mali has been playing music for almost 20 years. Over the years she has been a part of several successful bands and Electronic acts and now holds a strong presence in the electronic music scene.

As a professional DJ, Having only been mixing for five years, Mali spent the first two years playing breaks, tech and electro, out of Australia’s no. 1 underground club Ambar as voted in the 2007 dj Mag pol.

Mali has played at some of Australia’s largest festivals namely, Parklife, Spring in the Valley, Madhatters ball’ and the Royal Rumble. Mali maintains a long term residency at Habitat, Perths most underground Tech night, which runs out of Shape Nightclub. Mali is also a regular guest at many other local nights and venues such as Lokal, Retech, Reprazent, the Deen, Court hotel, Como Hotel and Coconut Bar to name a few, and has been a guest at some of Melbourne and Brisbanes most underground clubs, namely Roxanne Parlour (Melb), Brown Alley (Melb), Empire (Bris).

Not just a DJ, Mali has had an enthusiastic involvement in the local scene. She is an active member in a production company called One Am who have successfully been running a monthly breaks gig at one Perths most up and coming clubs, Bar Open. One Am also run a regular Tech night called 4 Play. Mali is also a resident at OneAM which has headlined many international DJs. In addition to running and promoting gigs, Mali has had two successful radio show's. Powerjam on RTR fm and Lunchbreaks on Base fm. On these shows Mali has interviewed and played host to Rennie Pilgrem, Pendulum and Blastique to name a few....

Having already supported the likes of Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, Hyper, Mixmaster Mike, James Talk, Martinez, Cold Cut, Audiojack, Peter Hook (New Order), Mark Dynamix, Miles Dyson, Ben Morris, Free Form Five, M.A.N.D.Y., Sharem Jay, Antiform amongst others, in her short time dj-ing, Mali is turning out to be one of the hottest up and comers Australia has to offer. Renowned for getting any dance floor cranking with her individual style Mali is one DJ not to miss!

Nice one bruva, definately be in the house fo sure. gimme a break still lives strong in the one they call Shifty... Tuff hard beats, just the way i like it!
