Hold on to your pants as Melbourne’s premier bass addicts bring you two of the freshets in bass heavy production masters from around the globe alongside Melbourne’s own glitch master: Spoonbill and local talent Bass Bin Laden, The Shredder, Barron Von Rotten, Abstar and VJ Dougstep. Expect amd live Glitch Hop and Dubstep from Ill Gates, heavily influenced by the Californian Glitch scene but with a distinctly unique Toronto/Urban/Hip Hop aesthetic and lots of diverse electronic influences. Dan Havers from Vent is best known for Breaks and Jungle production but has recently crossed over to glitch hop too with huge tracks like Crispy Crisp and Bear Crunk, expect a very London aesthetic, multi genre and bpm set with lots of ragga influence, big bassy UK fun.

i noticed you didn't refute his opinion. it's gotta be pretty clear to anyone that's been to a few venues around melbourne that miss libs is shit as. the only thing i that could come down to opinion is how much it pisses you off... with music that revolves so much around good production i can't bear to listen to it at a bad sounding venue.

enjoyed vent set immensely, awesome/tight mixing and track selection (mostly vent tunes at least for the first half and a few later on)
smashed it, pity the dfloor cleared out a bit at one point the dubstep heads mustnt have been able to handle it haha, all the more room to dance. RUMBLE!

went to ill.gates' production workshop earlier in the day and it was SO GOOD...many great inspiring to take away from it. great producer & teacher

ill gates was AWESOME!!!! loved it. couldnt pull myself away from the dancefloor....dark crunchy dirty basslines and fantastic spacial sounds....crowd was feeling every move with him, and the visuals guy was great too!

i liked vent too, slightly more wierd....but Ill gates - WOWOWOWOWOWO!!!

yeah his set was tight too, i expected a little more jamming/sampling tbh but i really enjoyed it

thort there'd be come mbc'ers at the workshop, i was the one that asked the Q on collab towards the end
(and as expected not really an in depth answer or insight as to how he goes about it but there wasn't really time)
