In this sandwich of life sometimes there’s no substitutes.
You may have wanted grilled eggplant & capsicum with mayo on ciabatta, and end up dealt a soggy tomato number with barely recognisable
remnants of bean shoot embedded in its slowly deteriorating wax paper enclosure.
So when life gives you lemons, you make a leftover tagine lamb number with homemade
cacik on sourdough and laugh maniacally, pegging the unused lemons at unsuspecting senior citizens.
When life doesn’t hand you any taxis at fucking all and you’ve downed two bottles of lithuanian vodka that cost $5 a pop
and you have all this junza but no lighter, you walk the 2 hours to the nearest vietnamese bakery and drown all your woes in a rhapsody in coriander.
When life gives you another epic raki bender and you wake up to the sight of your best mate back from india with a comfortable selection of cheeky charice in tow and…....
