I appreciate my pc because it makes me realise how much my mac rocks =D
I have 360+GB of storage on my pc.
That's a nice head sink you've got there. How much does that mofo weigh?
I'm not sure about audio, but i know with video editing you want as many harddrives as possible and that you're better off with two individual drives as opposed to striping. Striping is only good if your data is only going in or out and if it's being shuffled around on the same drive it's slower.

i'm working towards a MOTU 896HD, but my Tascam US-428 will tide me over until thenukime wrote:evil lookin heatsinks there! hope you've splashed on a kickarse sound card to match ...
yeah the heat sink is sweet, it wieghs 700g, lol. but it keeps it at an average of 35 degrees (with no fan)
that's where it's at. So over computers that sound like a jet. Asus make these riser boards so you can hook laptop cpus into a normal mobo. Not great as far as grunt goes, but an easy way to seriously cut down the noise of your pc.Shadowgames wrote: yeah the heat sink is sweet, it wieghs 700g, lol. but it keeps it at an average of 35 degrees (with no fan)
