Hi every body and happy new year !
I'm going to Australia for 2 month in june/july and i would like to know a little more about the australian drum'n bass and breakbeat scene ?
Do you have outside parties like in france, organise by association or is it always in club ?
where are the best place to go in Australia ? where are the goods events, do you have some web sites to find them ?
thanks a lot for all these questions !
Aurélie
some information please for a french tourist ?
look around a few threads on this site.... I'm sure you will learn what's on.
There are a few outdoor type events on now and then. But, you'll find most gigs in clubs. There are many regular (weekly, monthly etc) gigs to choose from multi-genre events and specific niche events too.
Good luck, hope to say hi when you're here

RINGWOOD NORTH!
for Sydney check www.sydneyfriction.com to find out whats on around Sydney, ignore the sarcastic inhouse jokes and well... friction, read between the lines and you will find a whole bunch of nice people who go out to most of the gigs.
I would have had an outdoor party for NYE [bush doof as they are called in Aust] but the location was on fire for 2 days, so I had to cancel, you get that!
also www.inthemix.com.au gives you a pretty good overview of whats around the country.
there is a bunch of french junglists in Sydney at the moment, not sure if that is a good or a bad thing for you hahah!
