the end of random beats?

For all your off topic conversation requirements. No posts about gigs please, use the Music forum. As usual, no "NSFW" material, keep it clean.

link thread only.

If you have a link you want people to see, post it in the links thread.

maybe it's time to split the forum into music/randomness? if the daily new posts are getting larger than a whole page then maybe the time has come :?:

There are threads for randomness already. Please search for them and contribute to what already exists.

Maybe on face value. But threads do stem deep. TTAN has 20,000 posts of random shit, can't exactly call that "quiet".

Anyway, like Lucas said; More signal, less noise.

Just to clarify, off-topic discussion is still welcome.

We're just addressing "links threads" here.

I'd much rather see more promo threads on the front page than links to random web sites.

^^ sweet :D

I'd call TTAN more of a chat room than a thread in any case.

yeah good point Lucas, but can we keep the YouTube thread separate? Or does that go in on the big links thread as well?

I'd like to see what happens as the userbase grows and more and more people start posting on the site.

Maybe a separate section for promoting gigs?

Would make it a lot easier to find info on a gig without having to sift through 40 threads about the colour of people's underwear.

P.S. I'm not wearing any

So an off topic thread is okay, but an off topic thread with a link is NOT okay? Is that correct? More fucking confused than Scooby-Doo.

Hardy, it depends mate. We have a links thread already which is accepted as the thread for posting random links, we have a YouTube thread which is accepted as the thread for posting YouTube links, and so on.

Basically, we'd like to cut back on the amount of new threads starting with content that can be put into already established threads

:D
