good radio shows?

Post by thfc »

i am pretty oblivious to the world of radio, i turn it on every now and then and have a listen late at night when i cant sleep and randomly come across some good shows from time to time, but theres no particular show or radio station that i listen to regularly.
i guess the only stations i ever really listen to would be PBS, RRR, JJJ.

so what are some your favourite stations and shows and what do you recommend?

Operatives Radio is on Monday nights from 9.30 - 11. Kiss FM 87.6 to 87.9 depending on where you live. Also you can stream it on www.kissfm.com.au. The only 100% drum and bass show on air in Melbourne.

I love RRR on Fridays:
Morning-On the blower (talkback RRR style!)
Midday-Styling (ennio styles...plays a huge mix of ace stuff)
Arvo- Far and Wide (Brit pop/indie stuff)
Later Arvo- The Skull Cave with the Ghost (really eclectic mix of great stuff, also includes a really nerdy quizz about 6pm)

Also Can You Dig it on Sat arvo's from 4 is pretty cool...(RRR)

 i miss BBTP & underground flavours (with lady erica)

Weird Groov'n (aka Living In a Weird World) has to be my all time favourite radio show. Used to be my saviour so many Sunday arvo-night-mornings with out my head on straight. Learnt a lot about breaks and all things broken from Brewster over the years and telling ya, he is living in a weird world. Tuned into this last night, as i do when i am at home, and always love it.

Also a fan of straightup. pretty much all the shows from Motive's to Brewsters but also the chance to shift through the others and listen to stuff I would not normally do.

Anyone remember "Electrobe" at all?
