Going to the following places.

1) London
2) Berlin
3) Prague
4) Vienna
5) BudaPest
6) Poland - Krakow and Warsaw
7) Spain - Barcelona & San Sebastion
8 ) Paris
9) Italy - Rome, Florance & Venice

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks

Loft was pretty cool in Barcelona when we stumbled upon in on a night out... Marco Bailey just happened to be playing.

Berlin is nuts - anywhere there is cool! I liked S036 when we were there. Mittes backpackers was a great place to stay - met heaps of cool people.

Budapest was another favourite. La Boheme was on there in the opera house for the equivalent of $5 or $6.

Stockholm.
My fave City in Europe.
Love it in Winter.

Lots of nice little cities around Scandinavia - Copenhagen, Orebro, Arhus, Oslo, Talin, etc.
But Stockholm is the 'jewel of the North'

If you are going to Latvia anyway I would definitely recommend a stop in Tallin, Estonia and on the coast in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Everything was so cheap (may have changed now Estonia is on the Euro) and I had an awesome time in both places.

Berlin is ACE

Got caught in an an anti NATO peace rally which turned Neo Nazi skin riot the moment we walked onto K'damm from the station

Tanks up and down the street, subways closed down and full police artillery, tear gas and agro via megaphones but obviously all in German

 :?

We were wandering along like 'Hrm.. this is kinda random...

I love WW2 history so Berlin was especially special for me

Wish I coulda been there when the wall came down. People dancing on the Brandenburg Gate!
Madness

Prague and Rome are in my top 3 fave cities in the world 8)

Where do you start. Guess best thing is to discover them yourself...

Berlin:
Brewers Tours!! Make sure you get Terry Brewer as guide, he is a ex. brit spy who runs a 8 hour walking tour of the city. Was fuking amazing and he is a freak.
Tresor Party: They move around a little but get to one no matter what, best people, vibe, tunes...
Marias: There is a club on the river down behind the wall, a must see.

Barca: Shots Bar!!!!!! Ask for a Monica Lewinski.

Krakow: If you go to the camps try to take your own transport. Tha main Auschwitz camp is a museum and full of tourists and really shat me. if you can get out to Birkenau (AuschwitzII) (not many tourists buses go there) you get a much better idea of the deal, and some time to take it in with out the crowds. We had our own car so made it easy.

RDZA: Is the name of the club where i saw Andy C in Krakow. Deep under the level old school bomb shelter styles.

to much to tell, just go find it yourself!!!!

Paris - check out Buddha Bar - even if just for a drink (the food is amazing if you're in the mood for a splurge) but it is a stunning place to say the least.

London - Hampstead Heath is gorgeous and very much worth checking out. cosy little pubs and tres english. cuteness!

also in London - i loved the Tate modern, and go down to Camden for a wander. excellent bars and markets (i know that's a pretty standard tourist book thing to put in, but i loved it) and stores selling magic mushies for 15squid. (tube + mushrooms = weird/funny/scary experience)

no Amsterdam hey? guess you're packing a lot in, but I <3 the 'dam.

anyway lukewa...jealous as hell mate. if i think of some more spots i'll let ya know. ;)

not sure about that :?: but there is a place about 1.5 hours East of Prague called Kuta Hora. You will need your own transport to make it easy. We did the trip and it was worth it.

They sold off a chruch in the 1800's and the family that bought it found a stock pile of remains in the basement. They let an artist go to work with them and do as he pleased...

My favourite spot in Prague was this lil gem of a park. The wall is made by an artist and designed to play on the human feeling of "doubt".

From a distance...

and on closer inspection...

There was some crazy hidden shit in there. :shrooms:

yes, listen to DBoy - we tried to get to Kutna Hora on the train and got insanely lost - we did however have an unintended and almost interesting tour of semi-rural Czech population centres... We never actually found the goddamn church, much to my disappointment.

I was told the bones are from mass graves from an outbreak of the plague in the area in the middle ages. Fascinating stuff.

3) Prague - the Jewish cemetery was one of my favourite places there. heaps to do and see with no dramas. get into the beer! :D

4) Vienna - Schonbrun Palace (Summer Palace) was the highlight for me there. The Palace at Versailles was modelled on it. Lovely huge grounds, eye popping palace and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle.

Also go climb to the top of the spire of St Stephen's. I think it was 357 steps? Top view from there.

7) Spain - Barcelona - Parc Guell. A must-do as well as all the other Gaudi things...

8 ) Paris - Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe (access via tunnel, not by running across 6 lane wide mad roundabout!), Marais and the Picasso Museum, Musee Dorsay, Musee Rodin (can you tell I like art?). Check your guide book for the late night openings at the galleries - less crowded.

9) Italy - Florence - Duomo, Piazza Michaelangelo for the great view across Florence. Dinner by the Arno was a highlight for me :)

You will have so much fun! Lucky fella :D
