I'm selling my Conga set because I haven't played them in over 2 years! Purchased in 2006 from Revolver Drums in Prahran. I played them on and off for a few months then put them in storage, where they've been ever since. As you would expect, they are in SUPERB condition. http://meinlpercussion.com/p...

Re: Side chaining and multiband compression.
The built-in compressor in Live 7 has a brilliant sidechaining function. You just place the compressor as normal (eg. on your pad or bass track), then switch on the sidechaining. A little extra box comes up where you choose the 'input' channel (eg. kick), and you can tweak the attack, delay etc. Bee...

Re: Ableton - changing of the guard
I started out using Ableton only for live sets, but got hooked and started producing complete tunes in Ableton.
For control I'm using a Zero SL:
Its been pretty good to me, but I'll eventually upgrade to something like the Vestax.

Have been listening to lots of Between the Buried and Me lately...
Very nice technical death metal with splashes of melodic vocals, acoustic bits in random places... check it if you like Dillinger Escape Plan sort of thing.

On the weekend some guys were trying to convince me to switch from FL Studio to Logic. I like FL Studio because I use lots of one-hit samples. Each track might have around 50 drum samples.
