got a nice set of Yamaha 80w actives, sound is clear as a bell and have a really flat response, weren't too much compared to others. best thing to do, and I know everyone says it, head to a music store with some nicely mastered beats and listen on a heap of different spekers.

dig that I love the fact that you can split out your own production into loops and do a mixture of live beats and dijital Djing. Also being able to loop out sections of tracks and on the fly means for quick mash ups.

I remeber using reason live when I was first out playing, opened each of reason track as i went and mixed them together on the fly and on occasion ran rebirth at the same time for some acid tweeking. It was a hell of alot of fun, but you know ableton changed all that.

thanks for the tip I'll give it a go and will def label it. I was hoping to avoid doing anything to the power supply itself. Sounds like the way to go.

dig that to above posts, thanks for the suggestions I picked up a AK1 thats souning pretty sweet though the earthing problem persited. I think that due to the monitors and the laptop both being earthed differently a feed back loop is being formed. You can here the noise when the mixer volume is down...
