benefit gigs are great but these people need help now ... why not just donate $100-200 bucks to the Red Cross if you feel compelled to help. Or donate blood this week. Much easier that trying to organise a gig and run the risk that people won't support. Help is needed right now. edit: don't want to ...

lucky for prodigy pendulum emerged in the past 5 years - otherwise they'd have no one to rip off. this doesn't at all sound like the prodigy of old - it's not a return to their roots at all - it's a basic rip of a moderately successful act that is effectively the prodigy for this decade. would love ...

This is true even in countries, such as Australia, where most production of goods and services is done through the formal economy, and most people work for wages. Australia adopts the standard international definition of unemployment: people are unemployed...
Re: JOBS
you'll find with the unemployment rate % the figure is somewhat tweaked. In addition to what 10:15 mentioned above as well as other ways they define the pool of people who are looking for work.

direkt is right - in the mid 00's there were 'breaks' rooms at pretty much every party. Two Tribes, Summadayze, Godskitchen, Agent MAD stuff (like DJ Rush, GCSSS, Pure Flow - actually that might have been 90's), Pharmacy, Mobile Home (Sydney) ... shit I remember getting booked to play a side room at...

Re: What do you think bout live drummer and DJ combination?
i think the concept has the potential to be pretty messy. unless the drummer knows the records the dj is playing as well as the dj it can become a bit of a battle. if it's rehearsed then it kind of defeats the purpose of a dj/act that can read a rooms dynamic. this sort of thing is big in the US rig...

Re: wtf is going on this summer?
exactly what is happening now happened in 2001 - ... big expensive parties dropping serious dollars (like the GCSSS and Welcome 2001), too much supply in terms of music choice, venue choice, internationals and a dive in demand relatively quickly, as well as shitty wider economic issues all compoundi...

it'll be a good show if you get there after scribe finishes. Kayne is a great performer - his Festival Hall show in 06 was amazing. I haven't seen Nas live in the flesh but I saw a live show on VH1 and it was pretty solid.
Kanye might make pop music but it doesn't mean it's not good.
