Re: Health
I have three sets of clothes, I ride three times a week - nice to wear clean clothes imo.
I need those clothes to ride. Riding over 40-60kms a day on a road bike isn't exactly kind to a gentleman's "saddle". The padding helps. And it's nice to not be numb with cold either...

Re: tips for newbies?
Welcome! Yeah, I'd definitely look at going digital. If you want the feel of vinyl, perhaps look at getting a vinyl-driven digital system, such as Traktor Scratch or SSL (Serato Scratch Live). You would need to combine this with at least two direct-drive turntables and a mixer. OR, there are some co...

I don't know about specific proportions, but yeah - definitely diet is more important than exercise. Without a doubt. It takes like a 40min run to wear off a can of soft drink... don't drink the soft drink, you don't need the run (talking about strictly weight issues here, not general health and wel...

How's the new bike? What cassette does it run? If climbing is really killing you, maybe you could get a cassette with more teeth on the biggest cog. seems to be exactly what happened to dnb/breaks, right down to the same venue. ha. I don't think dnb's problem was this it just focused on "getting harder/faster/filthier all the time"... there were a few parties who specialised in that sort of stuff, but I don't recall every dnb party ju...

Sure, that's a great way to start. You'll be a bit limited with LE - I think it's 4 audio tracks and 4 MIDI tracks you can run at anyone time... but if you find yourself enjoying Live Lite, then you can look at upgrading.

TBH - there's probably not too many people on here using Garage Band.

something cheap that uses FW800 is not going to be as easy as something cheap that uses USB. I'm guessing your M-Audio controller and Yamaha keyboard are plugged in via USB? These will most likely not plug into your soundcard (although it can be done with the keyboard if it has MIDI). How many avail...
