didn't get an upgrade but premium economy on V delivers bigtime. Very comfortable.

Now sitting in room at Roosevelt watching in amazement at what is considered food over here! Some crazy burger ads!

I do find it funny that no-one seems to dance in LA heh i found that too. when nick and i went in 2008 we ended up at cobrasnake's night in Hollywood as the people we were with had some LA douchebag connections (this night had a password to get in lol) ... very hipster doofus but everyone just sat ...

Yeah LA is kind of shit and ghetto but it's like LA music - overstated, badly dressed, loud, obnoxious, artless etc ... but you still listen to it sometimes.

So am in LA for 2 days pre SXSW in a few weeks. Staying at the Roosevelt which is pretty much bang in Hollywood.

Need advice if anyone has any on places to shop - ideally shoes/clothes etc ... that aren't the obvious ones (Robinson, Beverly Centre, Grove, Supreme etc)

Do people claim gig losses against tax? if set up as a business there's no reason why not. you can only pay tax on EBITDA so if there's nothing there there can be no tax. If it's a hobby I'm not so sure ... generally most hobbyist agents do things under the table so who knows if you can claim a lar...

hey retzie ... yep delegate passes sorted (got the platinum pass which covers everything) and accomm sorted (although we had to get 2 diff hotels - the hyatt and the at&t one) which was extremely lucky! more looking for good places to get breakfast, food etc ... a few places to go at night. even...

really enjoy running - was doing 10k 3-4x a week but pulled right back towards end of last year. find i do it in spurts ... 3 or 4 months then i go back to gym ... get bored of that then move back to cardio. swimming is also great but a pain in the ass in summer as the pools get crowded. much better...

almax should have clarified - i meant more big big acts, ie 3-10m in sales - i wouldn't call FFD a big act in that regard but yeah i am sure they are doing well with live shows/records etc but maybe thats just the model that is required now, use the recorded stuff as a promo and tour your ass off, ...
