Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
Shame if the new album sucked...
Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March

frontier touring and a couple of other mobs have a similar thing
go to the website and check it out
Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
It's not exactly their defining album imo. Couple of really good tracks and a whole bunch of average ones. They'll still be rad live though i'm sure. Would go if I wasn't such a broke-ass sexual chocolateAmick wrote:Shame if the new album sucked...

Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
Got album a few weeks ago... meh.
A couple of really really turgid songs, a couple of quite good dubby songs, but the glory days are gone.
Anyone know if it's a sit down, or are the bowl taking out the seats?

General up the back on the grass - Seating in the stalls/seats up the front.
They'll also have a live orchestra in the pit at front of stage!

Outlines where the orchestra pit will be.
Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
Hmmm... Orchestra would be amazing, but I'm not sure just based on that pic.
From previous shows at the bowl, that area is usually standing room at the front of the stalls. Maybe orchestra pit is just the name for the area?
General sales start tomorrow for anyone who missed out on presales!

It could be, but wouldnt they be selling tickets to that area if so?dengelman wrote:Hmmm... Orchestra would be amazing, but I'm not sure just based on that pic.

Or maybe its for press or something?
I really hope it's not! Be great to hear them with an orchestra.
Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
Just speculation (haven't been to a show there for a little while), but I think that is just the generic Bowl seating chart. They are having the free MSO concerts there this month.
Usually if you have tickets to the stalls/seats you can either sit in your seat like a grandma or stand up the front in that area labelled Orchestra pit and be a few metres away from the performers. I know what I'll be doing...
Either way should be kick-ass. Gotta get the new album...

Got my tickets for this. I umm and ahhed, but then thought, Sat night in March with Massive attack outside at the Bowl, yeh thats pretty good.
He's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up.
Re: Massive Attack - Myer Music Bowl 20th March
True! Could go either way I spose. The bowl is quite easy to adjust and transform to suit the concert the way they want it. That whole orchestra pit can be raised and dropped, etc. So who knows!dengelman wrote:Just speculation (haven't been to a show there for a little while), but I think that is just the generic Bowl seating chart.
