Across two rooms at Roxannes Parlour this one away night of bass flavored niceness not only celebrates Jungle, Dub, DnB, Reggae and Dubstep but also the earthday of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie. Get ready as the original Jungle ambassadors DJ Souljah and Peter Bouncer perform an exclusive three hour set supported by special guest Sberla 23 from Milan alongside Stryka D, Boover Banton, Folklaw, AC23, Spin FX, Finna, The Nomad and J Don. All ingredients added to make a great night to satisfy all tastes of bass cultured music. Hold tight!
DJ SOULJAH
One of the UK’s original Junglelist pioneers, Souljah has been in the game since the beginning of the scene. Promoting the Warrior Charge dances at Roller Express which soon became London’s premier Jungle event, the Universal Jungle events soon followed in collaboration with Congo Natty. Later Souljah realised the time was right to step away from the promotions game and in 1997 he launched Exodus Distribution. Initially concentrating on Congo Natty's new releases and the much celebrated back catalogue, Exodus then expanded into distributing upcoming labels such as producer Terry T's Knowledge & Wisdom, Kemet Recordings, Straight From The Bedroom and Diamond Kutz. They soon established themselves as a major force in the world of jungle and DnB. Around this time after many years as a raver, Souljah turned his hand to DJing and established himself as one of the UK’s most prolific DJs, traveling the length and breadth of the country in order to spread the jungle message. With the rapid rise to prominence of both the Knowledge & Wisdom label and Exodus Distribution, DJ Souljah has found himself increasingly in demand for gigs across the globe. PETER BOUNCER
Knowledge and Wisdom proudly present the return of the legendary Peter Bouncer whose sweet vocal tones have graced a number of classics over the years. His finest moments include the Shut Up & Dance smash hit 'Raving I'm Raving' which reached Number 2 in the UK National charts back in 1992, as well as monster jungle anthems such as 'Junglist', 'Fever' and ‘Rough Neck Sound’. For his return he has collaborated with the Manchester based Dawn Raid production unit on the massive 'It's Getting Hot', fresh for 2010. A deceptive Latin influenced intro soon gives way to slamming drums and a twisted bassline, topped off with the heartfelt melodies of Peter's vocal performance. DUB CLUB MELBOURNE & HEARTICAL HIFI
DCM was formed in close conjunction with Heartical HiFi in 2007 with the aim of presenting quality events based around traditional dub and reggae sound system culture. Their sound system has been custom built and boasts the ability to deliver the music like no other. B_TEAM
B_Team sound system was formed in 1999 in Milan, Italy, by Sberla 23 and Lo_Chef to transmit their musical message during student protests in the Deposito Bulk Squat. Later DJ Cucca, TurnTable Mind, TommyTumble, Ede, Dj Narko and Lollo joined the crew. In the 2004 they became residents at the Pegola Tribe and later on at the Leoncavallo with their monthly event called Input.
