Nightlife 5
So what do people think?
Not sure i am digging it, i just dont think it is my sound anymore but there are some killer tunes on it.
However i am listening to it on pretty low volume and and pretty bad speakers.
Might need to give it a bit more of a go.

That having been said in very small doses it does work in dnb sets. Very small doses.
Re: Nightlife 5
the Sub Focus Remix of Hold on is dubsteppy & in the mix...
Re: Nightlife 5
I think it's shit - have been liking Andy C's mixes less and less for a while... I'm talking about track selection specifically
Re: Nightlife 5
tbh i reckon its probably because dnb has been a little shit overall for a while. I'm split between loving certain tracks and really loathing others.
Re: Nightlife 5
I hear ye.
That Fabric Live Bukem promo that was out maybe 5-months or so ago (in the mixes thread) was the last mix I really dug, some cool tunes in there. I'm not sure it's Bukem though.

Re: Nightlife 5
yeah, rams sound has changed so much since subfocus blew up a few yrs ago. Cant say I like it as much as the old ram sound but still Andy's mixing is genius
Re: Nightlife 5
No disputing (or touching) his mixing skills
Re: Nightlife 5
Rockit
was over that track a year ago

Re: Nightlife 5
o.O I think quite the opposite, I think this tracklist is awesome and bringing the jungly vibes with high impact. I think Hospital have TOTALLY lost it lately, not into anything they release lol. Sigma and Ram FTW. Andy's mixing skills are untouchable!

Re: Nightlife 5
I reckon it's a fucking corker. A few gash tunes, but it's mostly good.
The Culture Shock tunes are fucking immense

Re: Nightlife 5
I used to be a huge fan of Andy, I just find his sets lacking variety.
Every single tune is the simple............. kick drum..... snare........ kick drum..... snare...... you know the standard Pendulum/subfocus thing they use on every single bloody track.
There is no mixing it up. Example that XPRS URSLF Ministry Of Sound mix he did ages ago had so much variety with drum patterns and tuneage which made it more interesting and something you coudl listen to over and over again. Also made his double drops way more interesting and uniue. Now it all sounds the same all the time.
He is still the baddest man on the decks anywhere in the world but needs to get some variety with tune selction IMO.
Still going to DL this and have a go
