is melbourne shuffle still common?

Post by nic »

with the 'age of dubstep' and no proper drums to dance to do kids still 'melbourne shuffle' at any rave regardless of music played?
i remember at gimme a break someone shuffled so hard they went purple and fell over, their mates picked them up took them outside (crackpipe recovery phew) and he was back at it with eyes crossed 20 mins later. hardcore. kept his hood on the entire time as well depsite the + 30 temperature

so i think i might need to finally properly leanr it and maybe teach some people next weeeknd wen i go out.
its goign to be quiet popular i reckon, might need a re-brand.

are there any new moves? i heard it became more jerky and less fluid?

It's pretty much dance dance revolution right? Gotta hit the 36 point combo with a double hat tap before your time runs out and the next playa gets pon de floor?

Obviously you are out of touch nic, the shuffle has gone mainstream and straight to MTV, no longer confined to the dark nightclubs and backyards of after parties.

Check it out, even Gaslamp killer is doing it:
