BU Santa Barbara - this place is heaven and the hotel we're in (the Canary) is plush. Sitting on rooftop pool deck overlooking the ocean and the mountains, sunny ... don't wanna leave!

Saw the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam on Wednesday... did the skywalk which is pretty intense (4,500ft in the air, glass floor). Was scarily close to running out of fuel in the Arizona desert though ... thank god for a Texaco in the middle on nowhere otherwise we would have spent the night with the coyotes and aliens.

Shep, are you going to San Fran? If so, you should go drink cocktails at Rickhouse. Or mebbe Bourbon and Branch if you want something extra schmancy.

I mean, you've gotta make up for missing out on the majestic beauty and unparalleled culture of Oklahoma somehow...

 Retzie!

BUs designing wetlands on several continents. Latest one is a massive one in Queensland!!

The one in France has been built and is already kicking ass, remediating spring waters and providing a habitat for birds and frogs. I wanted to put up a giant net to stop the french from accessing it and eating the frogs but wasn't allowed to put that in the design specifications or the report.

Loving working on wetlands, designing them and seeing the designs come to life and provide shelter, improve ecosystem processes and also become places of beauty. They are so complex but at the end of the day they are massive bio-filters that provide habitat for a staggering number of organisms.
