BU to hearing my lost friend is actually okay, well not really okay, but living and breathing at least.

BU to a pretty flat/shitty/meh week ending on a good note, and also BU to calling lots of friends this week and finding out we are all feeling the same - damn you planets!

had a wicked weekend as well actually.

dinner with new friends out in Eltham on sat night in this massive house they rent.

we arrive and they're hungover from night before (ie. not been to bed at all)

looks like food might be a bit delayed so they just smash out lines of gak so we dont mind not eating haha! good times.

I also ended up running 6kms yesterday on our new treadmill and totally negated hangover/shitness today.

Gonna try and get up to 10km a day!

Bigups the mission underground. escaped serious injury thanks to some burly guys who caught me as I almost landed on my back from a 3 metre fall. heading down there with strangers is a massive exercise in trust, like anything adventurous, made friends in a quarter the amount of time you would doing something normal.
highlight/lowlight was a 15 metre crawl through drain 1/2 metre in diameter, pulling yourself on your fingertips pushing bag in front with headlamp your only light source. full on. damn good thing im not prone to panic attacks.
my entire body aches and I am feeling totally accomplished and excited about the possibility of adventure everywhere.

Big Ups to your Big Ups Fents! Love to hear this!

Big Ups to my boy who kept me busy yesterday, mothers day to keep my mind off the fact that my family sucks balls. Yet another Mothers Day (just like all the birthdays, chrissy's and Easters) that i was not invited to at all, my happy mothers day phones calls ignored (sorry i was wrong i got a text response like 6 hours later) way to make me feel worthwhile mum.... Thanks
And Big Ups to friends who make the lack of family easier to deal with.... even thos it still hurts on some levels, the laughs i get from friends make it less noticable...

Super bean salad.....

4 Bean mix
Can of super corn (the extra tasty one)
Can of lentils
Can of Peas
Can of Borlotti Beans
Capsicum diced

Add tuna if you want

then chuck some balsamic on top

BOOM!

My lunch for a week

kinda lame actually - but pretty healthy.

And it's cheap - it's oh so cheap!

Big Ups to 3 random acts of chivalry i have experienced this week!

2 lovely young men offered me their seats on an incredibly crowded tram - they could clearly see i was being pushed from pillar to post in my heels and kindly gave up their seat.. THANKS

To the guys in Dan's last night who was in front of me in the q with 6 - 8 bottles and saw i had only 1 so said i could go in front of him with my single bottle

Thanks guys! Simple nice gestures that really made my day....

I'm all for chivalry, especailly jousting which is awesome, but i would never give my seat to a girl because she was struggling due to high heels. I've got 99 problems but someone elses kicks aint one.

struggling due to being pushed all over the place, heels makes that even harder on moving transport, i do not struggle due to heels alone....

Plenty happy to stand in heels the whole way home mate, not happy about men barging past and being pushed onto other people however... SO it was nice to see wome young men notice and offer a seat out the way of it all..
