YI - a few different things but the most interesting is helping establish a vocational training/micro finance project in fairly remote area of the state. we have the infrastructure so we're partnering with a couple of other NGOs in the area to implement a program for the villagers where they can receive training and then access loans to establish small businesses, and we may also set up a clinic as there's nothing in the area. in a few weeks we're having a meeting with the community to ascertain what they want and how we can help, so being involved from the start is quite exciting.
Also, BU to getting the full Adobe suite. toot!

Ha, was there last month discussing a major sh1tstorm that'll hit the news in about 6 months. Was only a quick meeting with two of the waste/audit crew. thanks all!!!!
my boss was in shock and said he felt really sad and would be lost without me. Well buddy, you had your chance to make it better and stop her from bullying me and others, and you sat back and watched. He now wants me to detail everything to HR about what has happened. I will be anyways, but i think he is FINALLY realising what is happening to his team because of her. 9 resignations in a year....ummm yeah....

Lots of time spent up there growing up - nice work Sammy & Glenny.
commute from the city wouldn't be too bad on an express train would it?

Re: The Big Up Thread
I wanna move to the hills.
For a month id make a vegie garden, walk barefoot among the chickens, write all the words down i hardly have time to think of in the city, and spend days and nights cooking.
Then I'd get stir crazy, think too much, argue on the internet for want of a drama to sink my teef into and try to start events involving horses, serrato and UV stargazing in the bush.
5 years and it might be a plan. Bigups for you guys making the seachange.

Re: The Big Up Thread
that sounds great Bo.
Foo, Im doing it and its balls. Only cos im along st kilda road another 40 min from the city. Its about an hour on the train, so its not that bad at all, cept that ive gotta then get along to bum fuck nowhere. We move offices in Oct just behind Spencer, so then it is actually only 20 more min than when i loved in Brunswick, so about an hour an 15 min. Bring THAT on.
Cant wait to get the garden going, my gramps had it all done before they moved, so its ready to rumble.
Bo, and i dont have chickens, but if you want to walk barefoot in dog shit and play in the garden, the door is always open!
Um, another BU. Big boss calls me over, tells me "i see a need, would you like Friday off". WTF, day off NOT asked for by me.
Today went from zero to hero in a rather quick fashion.
