to be honest, i am surprised at the low sentence, i mean usually hit and runs are around that, but they could have set a precedent with this one.

Sammy thought the sentence was good. She was at court with her, the whole thing was pretty devestating.

True, but like Sia said, it's not really going to change anything for the family. Their baby is gone and that's it really.

ZOMG Best. Sunday. Ever.

Woke up at 8am, wandered to the village, crossing the road to avoid a black bear that was doing the same thing. Minus 9 in the village, and minus 18 degrees at the top of the gondola... the snow was <3 <3 <3 all boofy and powdery and lovely.

Did 5 runs out-of-bounds, took the boy down some black mogul runs and he absolutely killed it, had to jump a creek, got home at 2pm and smashed a massive plate of nachos made with jalapeno flavoured corn chips, did some work, and am about to watch some Ugly Americans and John Stewart. Some Zubrowka, apple and lime could also hit the spot.

:D

Seriously, if I die in an avalanche tomorrow, this can go on the back of that bit of paper that they hand out at funerals.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

BU mates' baby arriving safe and sound! Little bit wobbly, but all are doing fine. The poor fuckers went through hell last year with a 1-in-several-million genetic fuck-up and Oklahoma's utterly disgraceful abortion laws, but they has kiddo now!

Now I have no idea what to do... I don't think I've been around when anyone I've actually liked has popped. When can has shower them in gifts??

+1 on the harry hate....

That's good news retzie!

One of my closest mates had a baby in Jan this year.... totally rad. The best thing I've found is to just go and visit as often as you can. Their social life will mostly dry up and they will really appeciate visitors.

^^^ :) all sounds good tashma!

So, reading the news today, and Naples is under mountains of trash, there was a massive stampede in Cambodia that killed 400 people, and North & South Korea may be going to war after a long peace time. America has gone to the dogs, Europe is flailing, and all these people I know from these places just want so badly to be able to stay here and cant. Our immigration laws are fuckin tough.

It just made me think, for all its complacency, small pondness and alcoholism, we are so damn lucky to be able to live here.

Appreciate that passport guys, I know I do. That's all.

Yeah, the USA is Farqed, Europe isn't far behind (contagion looking very likely) and China is hitting the skids with massive levels of inflation. Wouldn't be too worried about N/S Korea... flexing political bully muscle by incoming Dear Son... this seems to happen whenever North Korea undergoes a period of significant change. They would be idiots to risk losing control of the country, and their 'big brother' China has other, more global fish to fry atm (fingers crossed).
