EDIT: LOL, different brand

---------------------------
they are all essentially the same (without looking up specific specs)... they are just the predecessors of each other....

more mega pixels is not neccessarily better (given that the G11 reduced the megapixel count from the G10).

since I don't have time to write a massive explaination lmgtfy

G12 is essentially the same as G11 but with HD video, and other minor changes.

Love my G11.

That is all

So in essence Dan was wrong for being angry and the Lumix G10 is a DSLR and the man in the shop wasn't wrong.

Dan - I think you owe the camera man an apology.

I preferred it when the camera guy was the knob.
I think I don't want SLR for same reasons Kitty went through.

anyone else notice that the canon G12s are cheaper than the G11s. Can't work out why that is.

really tough deciding between 7D and 60d atm....
60d same video and an articulating screen, but not as good body/AF/sensor/speed for photos...
so leaning towards 7d even tho its ~500 more :/

hey guys and gals - need some help here please.

I'm looking for a free hi-res image, preferably something club/dance related and awesome. It will be adorning a large wall in a new Sydney music store if it suits, backdrop for a DJ area...

Any ideas on where I can be steered?

Thanks.

This. Admittedly I shoot mainly with a 28-70 2.8 which is about fifteen years old.

That or think about a 24-105 f4L IS, which is what I'm looking to purchase next. Can be had for about $900 second hand.

is good, but also been hearing great things about 15-85 3.5
a bit more to play with (much wider, especially important on a crop sensor), also has v good reviews
there's also lenses like canon EFS 17-55 IS f2.8 (Basically a 1.6x equiv of a 24-70 on a fullframe, and much cheaper tho still expens), tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 etc

Was looking at an underwater housing for my 450D - but $1200 is a bit extreme. Scored a G12 AND primo Ikelite housing for pretty much the same price! Looking forward to next diving adventure!
