if you have the money wait and go over to Japan, its something that will be with you for the rest of your life may as well make it an experience.

charlie, no i didnt see jap tatt girl at rainbow, or not that i noticed. but i did spend a lot of time perving on peoples ink, best collection id seen for ages at that party!!!

rainbow is one of the places im really proud to have as much ink as i do, its like badges of honor and different designs become your personality, people come up to me and go 'arrow girl, I remember you!"from this place or that party, often from years and years ago.
in the city, sometimes i question the fact that i have so many, cos everyone is grey grey suits and cotton on clothes. but out there, its different.

i digress.

aroes > your right, definatly frowned upon by much of jap culture. still pretty much the domain of yakuza in japan, its only foreigners who get inked in japan apart from them! many bathhouses wont let you in if you have ink, or you must bathe alone, away from everyones eyes. full on.

STILL collecting images for my arm.
someone give me an artist who does any specialties like this >
art deco/nature/arrows/organic/monochrome

im at the point where ill pay someone loads just for the design. any suggestions appreciated!

my mate's DAD! just got this tattoo http://www.flickr.com/photos/36022659@N02/

pretty sweet for a dad to get i reckon.

He's doing it cos he's jumping out of a plane for a publicity stunt for his work.
I guess he's ticking off his bucket list in case something goes wrong....

In the process, a picture is first drawn using common writing utensils. Then, it is slowly pricked with a needle until it bleeds. The needle contains ink made out of tree sap. After it heals, a tattoo is visible.

good lord... ouch!!!!

I don't the other one does though, she just started getting her piece done.

It's more to the side though but said it hurt like a bitch around the side and even more so where it comes onto the stomach a little bit, hurt heaps more there than on the ribs even. She can explain better on sat though, assuming I shall see you.

that is frikkin hilarious.

a) sif you would FALL ASLEEP while having your face inked. she must be a zen master like nobody ive ever encountered.
b) suck it up bitch, if you want to look like Kat von D, its gonna take a whole lot more than dem stars.

borneo - one of the dudes we were travelling with got his whole arm done (not traditional) like woodgrain, nice concept, but horrible execution. i dont care how cheap they are, DONT get inked in some asian country guys, unless you have a direct rec from someone.

in other news - im getting inked in two weeks, first time in almost 4 years, and first time art deco, not arrows, exciting!

I kinda feel sorry for the tattooist, cos he was painted to be a jerk, but now he has got loads of publicity, and hes a unique looker as well, so its prolly been good for business!

shes a dick. i hope the stars remind her of that fact every day.

a week or so till more ink for kitty! weeeeeeeeeeee excited!

hrmmmm i havent seen that many from locals tbh...

ze europeans seem to be good at portraits/mechanical/B&W realistic stuff...

i think you might want to pick a few of the good shops in melbs and hunt through their galleries online,
see if you can find someone that way, then call em up and feel it out over the phone...thats what i'd do anyhow..

im looking for an artist that does art deco/neuvo/buildings/architecture next and it is seeming hard!

most artists will tell you they can do anything, but its not true!! ;)

That's rad. How many hours under the pins? And how much (if not rude to ask)?

heh thanks enak, i love it.

it took around four hours, and was $700. not rude, its for life, so i dont care how much it costs.
i spend $100 without blinking every time i go out, so in the grand scheme of things, its nothing.
