Re: Gripe thread
Gripe – fuckin junkies OD’ing in the apartment above me, on my first night there.
Moved into our new place on Saturday, already tired and exhausted. My boy had to do the last run with the truck out to his parents place and stayed the night there, so I was all alone. Started hearing yelling, doors slamming, bottles being smashed etc etc. I just stayed inside, but was getting quite scared. Chatted on the phone to my best mate for ages for the company. Later that night (after popping my head out the curtains on and off) I see the ambulance had arrived, so I went outside finally feeling a bit more safer seeing them. The neighbours two doors down came racing over to me and said they were really worried that I was inside alone hearing what was happening and that they wanted to knock on my door but were worried I would get more scared. Apparently the government owns the apartment directly above me and its rented out to drug addicts who are rehabilitating. Yeah great! Fuckin not! Apparently they haven’t had trouble for years but this was pretty bad. My next door neighbour came out and chatted as well. They are all lovely and said it’s not great but honestly it hasn’t happened much, but definitely don’t trust them. No one gets their mail sent to the property etc.
Can’t believe it

I would def. bring it up with them though. You won't get anything from it, but could be good ammo when it comes to rent raise time.

in Flemington in a lovely tree lined street with families all around. Just would never think anything like this could happen or be possible.
handly, i have not signed the lease, just Liam has. So i am going to negotiate that we can break the lease cleanly if this happens again, before i sign anything.
I will also be speaking to the local police on exactly how often they are called out and whether the place is being watched etc.

promo gripes. the innernet is not always the best tool guys!
- why do people post incessantly about the same event then wonder why nobody comments anymore? SPAM SUCKS.
- why do people post from eighty groups/fan pages the SAME event? WE SEE IT FUCKERS! saw it the first and the 30th time.
- why do people put up events on monday morning, worst time to tell us about the weekend to come ever. we are still recovering!
i could go on and on.
tactics, learn some!

Re: Gripe thread
lloollls not being funnie like just providing a counter point. i should not of said kill them tbh. but when someone is stopping me sleeping or making noise i often think hmm kill them - i wouldnt really want to kill them though as id be sad to see less people getting around in slamon/brown windbreakers, asics runners and stonewash solied jeans.
dont care if they are smackies, just because they are smackies doesnt mean they have to behave badly does it?
what ever happened to the polite funcntioning smackie?
Im also aware that drug users have bare fam. id even say i 'dun kno' and 'seen'.
Im sick of being called a cunt by bitches getting hoighty on off topic typing expeditions as well, eat some salt or something.
in summary - cant we just get alolng?

Re: Gripe thread
imo the kill them comment would not have been made had nic been aware of your situation Bo.
nic telling somebody to shut it is way out of line given the content of their previous post addressed to you. If you're sick of being called a cunt... perhaps be less of an insensitive one hmm?
Bo - and its not that nobody cares its just that barely anybody posts in off topic anymore. I remember when I had to go to page two to read every new thread, now we're lucky if the newly posted in threads get halfway down the page... in a week.
xx to everybody
and a completely unrelated picture to draw fcous away from negativity (in the gripe thread irony lolz)

Re: Gripe thread
we're going to disagree time to time of course
clashes often come out of flippant comments. yours was poorly timed nic
yes junkies are people and have families. so do builders. and every day i am woken at 6.30am by some builder at the site next door i also say i am going to kill them. but i'm not really
this is life guys. we all bring different opinions and life experience to the board. life's experiences helps develop our opinions. i know a paramedic and imo he's is well within his right to say 'fucking junkies' considering they get multiple false callouts where they are assaulted and rolled for 'on board gear'. and then some old lady is lying on the floor with a broken hip for another hour while they sort out the drama. desperate times.
we all have different experiences that shape our thoughts. disagreeing with either one is fine but a little sensitivity will also go a long way
now everyone rake their own corner of the sandy zen garden and breathe

Re: Gripe thread
nice words guys. I agree. Actually reading those posts made me choked up.
Sorry for reacting so badly, just really tired of seeing people in the city every day ignoring people in real trouble, tired of my friends getting over their addictions and then having 'one last time' and fucking dying, tired of most people judging those just outside their circle of understanding as being bad and wrong. And just tired of smack, its fucking evil. thought it was gone from my life years and years ago. anyways, dem internets leave a lot of room for mis interpretation, so yeh.
for all.

GOTD:
I'm working on 5 oil spills. Some are minor, but the big one is getting me down.
Apart from the fact that trying to save ecosystems after the spill has occurred (aka closing the gate after the bull has bolted) is kind of pointless, the clauses etc are oppressive (in the words of the immortal Bard Sir Vanilla Ice, these clauses are 'To the Extreme').
CBF.
Humanity needs to die off already.
Bah, humbug.

Well, today came the fall of the first domino. Love it how managers try and dress up the fact that eventually, most of us will be out of a job. The shifting of the feet, the um err umm every half a second, delivering the information with the confidence of an obese, pimple faced, bung eyed, bung leged emo teenager.
Good luck getting me to work more than I have to ever again. No more overtime, no more late nights, no more extra work to try and get myself somewhere.
Cant wait for the day I resign. Might have to sell tickets and pre-warn the feds outside.
My new catchphrase, sorry, Im too busy.

Re: Gripe thread
There is no more Inpress music paper.
Well there is, but it now only covers rock n roll, and all the 'other' stuff has been put in a smalle,r glossy, ugly 3D world, including my listings and ads. And they have been butchered to a level I have never seen before.
Thursday night it lists - DJ TALENT @ miss libs. FUCK OFF, someone might think we have a Dj called 'TALENT".
I was not told about this, and I am pulling my fucking advertising. In the past, Beat have been difficult, but Inpress today has left me feeling more shafted than ever.
Let me show you the war I'm about to create. WAR!!!!!!!!
