no this one is vascular - they just happen every so often and there is not much I can do unless I want to take teh migraine meds. Which for me, unless I have a full migraine, are really not worth the side effects - ie feeling exceedingly intoxicated and eventually passing out (made the mistake of trying to "push on" at work under the influence once... not a very dignified look, but good value entertainment for the people sitting around me!)

Hope your neck and shoulders are behaving themselves, I have heard how painful that can be!

You poor thing, sounds balls. Hopefully this latest development in migraine stuff can get some benefit over to you!

Mine will be fixed in a few weeks, when we move offices. Another tick on this disgraceful company, the floor of the entire building is crooked!! And mine was stuffed before i started here, so I cant take em for work cover.

what is this new migraine stuff you speak of?!

That is crap that your job is making your neck worse LMB. I am no PI lawyer but I am fairly sure that aggravation of a pre-existing condition doesn't cut off all your avenues of redress - eggshell skull and all that. And especially if their objectively defective work environment is the problem, not just failure to make reasonable adjustments to a "normal" work environment.

i didn't know what was happening, never been in any situation like this before, was surreal and so real scary... tried walking away from first dude (seemed to be a real solid irish lad) saying i got no money, the he got violent and threw me into all these bins... so i gave him all i had, 62eu... then I got up and started walking away and within 1 minute this car just stopped and 4 dudes came out and grabbed me and said 'where is the rest' i tried to reason with them but they jst wanted more and threw me at a cash machine, so i gave them onther 100eu and they left.... their threats were fukn scary...

Yuck. I got violetently rolled in the UK. It ain't pleasant and it does not get any easier. 5 years down the track I still think it affected my behviour in negative ways. Take some time to yourself Quickster - go somewhere you feel safe and be with people you trust. Down time. Don't worry about the cash, you did the right thing, much better than getting a blade in ya guts. Ain't no heros when it comes to this shit.

This should prob be in the bigups thread, but after more than 15 years I've finally given up weed.

Nearly two months now and enjoying feeling more sprightly in the mornings and my dreams,
but honestly, having a mid life crisis, feeling unsatisfied with pretty much everything, want to move to Bali, or New york, or anywhere, get out of the scene, and into another one, and have been even considering what to do with Yoshi if I decide to do so.

To those of you who have been through this, is this what's going on?
Or am I perhaps really having said mid life crisis, perhaps a few years early.

Quietly losing it over here.

Seperating yourself from something that's been de riguer for most of your life is bound to cause catharsis of some sort, particularly an addicition

I've been having a quarter life crisis ever since I gave up regular cones. That was about three years ago :teef:

I guess only you know whether or not these realisations are the symptom of giving up weed, or something more significant

You'll figure it out

Definately some phyc stuff around the void left when you remove a constant from the routine. I still struggle with myself on weekends having been out smashing it for 15 years to being a homebody. A year later and I still have issues with how to fill the hole and that nothing or very little adds up to that which was so usual and known to me.

Fact is Ghetto, you have to just decide that the other is better and stick with it - otherwise you will spend the rest of your life thinking that the best has already been.

Maybe a significant change will make it easier for a while, but in the end that hole, in this case, the green, will never totally be filled by anything similar. I am finding ways to reprogram that different is not necasserily even comparible, because in comparrison it does not stack up, different is just different, and that is me now.

Sense?

heh, makes sense, a little bit!

I just don't even miss it, i don't crave it, it just feels gone. But in its place is this incredible dissatisfaction with all these things I have been working so hard to make happen. Now they finally are, I mean I am at a place that if you told me I would be at five years ago I would have been AMAZED, I mean I haven't been a bonghead for years and have never sat on my couch planning things I don't do, but I just feel like - IS THIS IT?

Not quite sure if this is a gripe, but it's got me a bit riled. So Ms Fraser-Kirk settled with David Jones for $850,000, and points out that her recent pledge to donate to a sexual harassment education charity only was to apply if she received punitive damages, which, because it was settled out of court, does not apply. Therefore, her donation was $0. She even went to add "I look forward, however, to participating in charitable work in the future".

I think that's really sneaky and a cheap way to get public support in order to pressure David Jones to cave to publicity.

Not sure if it's a recognized condition but there is the theory of the life lie - the unobtainable goal that motivates you through your life even though you can never get it - once you've achieved a goal you've then got to come up with new goals

When i quit smokin the tweed i was still an underachieving layabout, but i can relate to wanting to gtf outa here. I could have been (and still could be) doing bugger all somewhere i don't have to fix computers all the time, instead i'm now girlfriendless and working 18 hours a day lol. I'm just hoping it will all pay off. I don't really want to get rich but would rather not be working so hard. Lucky i have a rad set of mates which is the only thing that's keeping me here tbh.

so i guess im no help at all am i? huhuh
