im going to start catching it on camera. it really is an amazing phenomenon.

gripe: metallica after party had smoke machines that set off the vesda gas in our server room at 1:30am last night, which also turns the CRAC unit off. not a good thing when you have a fully loaded XIV in there. argh.

It's a variant of the normal Last Word, where the gin is replaced with mezcal. I got the drink/name from an industry person, but I can't say I've heard anyone else use it (despite demanding mezcal + green chartreuse from LOTS of others.) Probably because it's a fucking stupid (awesome) idea

yeah. would have been worse if he was going any faster as i would have fallen off behind the car in front of other cars. but he ran right into the side of me (swerved into bike lane) i kind of fell onto the car and managed to get back upright, smacked the window and rode off.

I am in the same boat, cept I actually have things to do, meh. 30 min goes very quickly when you print off some colour printed eyes, stick them to your glasses, stick a head set on, and have a snooze.

i was coerced into drinking it by a mate who thought it'd be a good idea to knock the tops off pints of beer and drop chartreuse shots in (depth charge style)...........fucking mega fail

long story short, i woke up the next morning in hospital with a fairly sizeable cut above my right eye, unable to remember much about what had happened the night before

that stuff, never again

All you need to understand is that Chartreuse is a sophisticated lady. Put her in a fine cocktail, you will be rewarded; treat her mean, she will kick your arse to next Thursday. Serially, shots in beer??

(Mind you, plain shots = win.)

Okay, it's an acquired taste, but if you drink a lot of cocktails, the normal offerings start to be sickly sweet (eg. lemon or lime juice = too sweet.) But if we're talking about acquired tastes, get some mezcal up ya! It's a relative of tequila, but the agave is smoked in a pit in the ground first. For an idea of the taste: take the fuck-off peatiest, smokiest scotch you've ever clapped yer gob on, remove the malty sweetness and add tequila loco

So clearly, the two combined = W1NRAR!! In fact, I had a very fine stirred mezcal/green chartreuse number this weekend. I <3 NY cocktails.

yes our tastes are v different

cannot handle the cloverload that is chartreuse

love a good cocktail, cannae get enough of the caprinha atm, and gimme a well made espresso martini anyday

also can't go wrong with winter favourites.......a big porter or a fine single malt (but not islay! peat=wrongtown)

don't think i've ever tried a proper mezcal tbh
