have to have a really good reason to be fired too i guess and if someone has been at a place for like 7+ years it will cost a bucket load to make them redundant. also you can't hire someone to take the redundant position for like a year or something.

My nemesis at work.... mnggghhhhhh..... The sound of his voice makes me want to punch him. Although, it was gratifying to know that he had to sit through a lengthy discussion about how the entire department thinks our masters program is completely usesless and, oh, what's that? That's the highest degree he's got...? Hmm....

That's exactly what's happening. It's almost impossible to get fired from my company, no matter what level you're at.
See how much you can do to get him fired without yourself getting fired...?

I have given up on boys. However, when I happen to meet a cool dude who suggests we go see some DJs (without knowing I like electronic music and being in America, where club nights does not exist), I will go along. But this is me, so this has gotta be going somewhere shit...

Get there and he's totally dressed up for a date, in the unco-est possible way. Looks like a primary school teacher (as compared to the scruffy dude who runs the bike shop Image). While I'm still wondering how he could possibly manage to make himself look so unattractive, he tells the story of his brother's guerilla wedding in a nature reserve, part of which goes a little something like this:

Him: "[...] and I married them."
Retzie: "Wait, you married them?"
Him: "Yeah, I'm a minister. Did I not mention that?"

No. You. Fucking. Didn't. Specifically, not when I was saying really loudly how much I hate religion (during the first just-talking-to-a-random-in-a-cafe conversation).

I don't even...

Don't even want to now! For your reference (and thematic tie-in), he wears a little green hat (which, incidentally, makes him look markedly better than his Sunday school attire). Oh well, he is 6'7", so it's prolly a bullet dodged tbh

I'm in Chicago these days, so yeah, but not really.

A further sweet follow-up text made me man up and tell him I'm not feeling it. (All advice was to just not reply, but I hate the silent treatment and can't bring myself to dish it out to someone else.) Like kicking a puppy and telling it Santa doesn't exist all at once :mean: :?

MB is my repository of rants. Much betterer than crapbook or a blog :retzielikes:

When I first moved over here, I used to write long (apparently entertaining) emails to my old housemate, who said similar about a book. But then it turned out she was only emailing me to get said emails. Once I stopped writing them, I never heard from her again :confused1:

Vietnamese Salad or Chicken rolls have been my vice

Way too easy to hit up two at a time and then roll around the office for the afternoon as fool as a goog.

Cheep Cheep is also fantastic.

Have had to refrain for a while though - had reached addiction point

RA was my saviour.

'Hi, I'm Scott.... I'm addicted to Rolls'

3/20 of the way through an epically shit week of work. Normal work plus interviewing for an open position. Apart from having to spend a shitload of time talking/schmoozing/listening to candidates, it's also making me realise what a crap fit I am for this job. Woo :?
