the funniest is when one is in Adelaide.

There is no cars for about fifty miles, the streets are wide and everyone drives like they are on valium, yet the minions wait faithfully for the green man, and if you walk out before said man blinks at you,
there is a collective GASP from the sidelines.

my Adelaide friends call me rebel, I call them sheep.

We love each other across paddocks.

I find the pedestrian crossing between Flinders St station and Fed sq next to the tram stop is the worst. People think they can just keep walking when the pedestrian light is red if there is lots of them. Pisses me off majorly when on the pushie or in the car.

they've been doing this for a while, mainly friday afternoons standing in the middle, they are damn ruthless.

Even the night patrol police have been inforcing it, my brother got a 150 dollar fine for crossing Swanston street one night about 6 months ago

Flinders Lane is a frickin nightmare for drivers, people treat it like a footpath and just wander aimlessly into the middle of the street

still, there's gotta be a better use of Police resources than this

It's just a training exercise. Cause no one is really gonna crack it get violent over $57 fine it's good practice for new recruits to learn how to write tickets.

So what you are saying as that you disagree with them fining people for jaywalking, but when you jaywalk and they DON'T fine you, you get upset? Why even bait them in the first place? I'm not having a go, i'm just trying to understand where you're coming from.

i was bein silly hardy. forgot the :teef: though i figure by now i dont need em round here!

i did my usual j-walk across whilst checking that the lights were in fact, red, and then felt that hot rush of being naughty as i remembered this convo from yesterday. looked around to the cop shop, nobody in sight, and thought how silly it is that polis do these flashes of upholding authority but then are nowhere around.

i dont disagree with fining people for j walking, but have seen them do it plenty like others here said, and i guess i just have a bit of contempt for cops as they have only casued me strife and never been on hand to actually help any of the times i have required it.

How could you even think of baiting the masses.

as long as some form of mathematical debate is included, you shoudl be ok.
