SuperCoach 2010 > Melbourne Beats League

Post by Direkt »

I love SuperCoach!

Anyone keen to join a MB.com league? If so:

http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au
LEAGUE CODE: 427128

The league will only accommodate 16 teams, so first in first served.

SuperCoach is a free, fun way to enjoy the AFL season - but, it does take some time, if you want to really commit.

Hahaha!

Some people pick out certain players that are must haves... go for them, and then fill the rest of the team.

Look at it this way. You have $10,000,000 to buy 30 players with - so your average is $333,333.33 per player.

The only way to make money, and increase the value of your team is to buy players who you think will have a better season (statistically) than their previous season/s. Debut player are obviously quite good at this (as are players returning from injury), if you pick 'em right. So be sure to get your scout on in the NAB cup, press and club rumours etc.

Last but not least, if your team is a certain AFL team heavy, be wary... if that teams has a bad day out, so do you.

So how does it score? if i have a forward that doesnt kick any goals, maybe is moved up the ground like say Cyril Rioli (rumour is he will be in the midfield this year) but gets heaps of effective kicks and handballs etc, will he not get as many points because he didnt kick goals?

Hawthorn's season will be based on how well Rioli plays this year.

Heaps of effective disposals will beat a reasonable goal return.

Last hint I'll give: it's good to get guys who are listed as defenders, but often play mid or forward. As there's more points to be had in the midfield and forward line - and in that order.

How the point scoring works: http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=statscentre

2030 for round 1.

Not bad, particularly considering I had a couple of players off the field (stupid Round 1 lockdown before all teams are announced!).

Some changes to be made late this week.

Actually the changed it this year and only players on Thursday nights game were locked - you could make changes up until Friday night for rest...

Not the I checked the injury list myself! 2 non scoring defenders and no defenders as emergencies. Glad you get these 4 rounds at start to sort shit out.

When do players values start to change?

^ damnit. I had heard that, but didn't think it true.

Players change in value after three games. It works on a rolling 3 game cycle.
