things i just learnt now after my first go

you need to pick a captain
you need to pick a vice captain
you need to pick emergencies
you need to watch for injuries
you need to definitely check the people who are actually playing

i only did the injuries, dammit.

still, i like this picking teams stuff :D YAY for footy being back!!!

Got rid of Burgoyne from the Hawks and Lynch from the Saints and picked up a couple of players I'm hoping will grow in value in the next fortnight.

Shame there's no footy today!

Better this week. Top 10 is going to be competitive in this league. 2000 only got me 10th in my other league, going to have to step up.

Lot of players underperformed. Should be reading the guides etc more.

How much did people increase their team value by? I was hoping for more than the 400,000 I got. Saw some in my other league went up for 800,000.

$675K increase for me. Very happy with that!

Got $569,000 increase, not bad for a first season coach?!
Had to get rid of Nick Riewodt today though, traded him for Pavlich, still got a couple of rookies that haven't seen any game time yet.
How can you see what players are doing outside your team, for example Gary Ablett, did he come down or go up in price (i didnt pick him)

Ablett came down a bit i think $15,000 or something.

Herald Sun online has a lot of stuff about it, reviews and tips and people to watch. I'll send you links if I think of it Al.

$600K+ increase in team value.

First time i've ever done Supercoach/Fantasy Team.

Not bad...I must admit Footy is a lot more exciting when every game there are players you're hoping will play well.

Felt sorry for Saint Nick when he did his hammy, now annoyed coz I gotta trade him. Bah!

Next year i'm not putting any players in my Supercoach team for the team I barrack for...

Collingwood, under performing b^&*%$*s!

Al, you can click on players and put them on your "watchlist" - keep track of how they're progressing.

Click on the "stats centre" tab up top... half way down you'll see where you can enter a players name to research them. You can also just eye off the players performing well.

FYI: Ablett dropped $16,500.

Amick - you're doing really well mate!

Who to trade for Riewoldt?

Who to make Cpt. & Vice Cpt.this round?

Save trades or use them up?

It's now getting more complex. Gash.

I traded Pavlich for Riewoldt.
Save 1 trade per round, if possible 2.
My Captain is J Selwood as they are playing Port Adelaide and he should dominate, vice captain J Brown.

Big J. Brown in for Riewoldt for me. He's increased a bit in value, which is unfortunate - but if he has a half decent game this weekend, he should continue to rise I'd reckon (considering his past fortnight).

Gary Ablett remains captain for me. Too much of a gamble changing captains, as I've learnt in the past, even though Ablett is slightly under-performing at present.

I need to do some work on my forward line!

My word.

First real round, bring it on!

this weeks trades by me

out - Lachlan Henderson ~$400,000
out - Daniel Wells ~$400,000

in Podsidaily and G Ablett for about the same price in total.

Pods still only going for $83k but will jump next week for sure, big money maker, and Ablett....well he is Ablett.

Easy pickings keep the Dee's on top.

As for the real Dee's - go you good things! Loving it.
With North, Bulldogs then WestCoast - we could be 5-3.

Yep.. although pretty much everyone has him, so it's not such a big deal.

It compounded problems of having both Martin and Cotchin out for me though... left me one man down in the midfield.

Fucking over Cyril Rioli too... I've had him for two-three weeks and he's been absolute shite. To the bin with you, Rioli!

I found out in time but put Mole on instead. He didn't play either.
Seaby got 3 points, wish he had of not scored as had a replacement ruckman.

I got screwed in my other league and it is going to cost me.

Cant believe I was aiming for 2100 and got 1600. Think ill just quit!

How many trades you guys got left? I'm sitting on 16.

So tempting to trade trade trade, but if i'm averaging 2200 a round I must be doing something right.

^ nice.

I've got 12 left.

I try to do 1 per round - max. Preferably none, till the latter part of the season... although I've had a rough time getting points out of my forward line.

i think all forwards this year have been inconsistent.

i'm more concerned the rookies i picked have barely played at all.

time to trade for rookies who actually play week in week out. lol.

We playing this week mate? Shit. Saw you are up towards 2200 mark yeah?
Pretty good chance you will smash me then. I started there but now im back to 2000 mark.

If all players scored their average id be right, just seems I can't put it together. + some really bad trades means im struggling to make finals.

Best score ever this week, 2,397.
Was lucky i had Bastinac (scored 105) on the bench as emergency for Barlow who was a late withdraw from hamstring tightness.
My team is looking good, even managed to have J Brown on the bench as he has been underperforming of late!
He is at a good price to buy now though for those wanting a premium forward, think he is a touch over $400k, after the mid season break he will come out and smash it again i reckon.

Well done on the weekend Al - we have quite similar teams... you have Browny on the bench, I have $400K up my sleeve awaiting deployment this week.

CUN TIES!!!!! Jack Riewoldt has been on fire the past few weeks.... Good to see the future of the RFC midfield (Cotchin and Martin) firing... I just hope both boys don't get nabbed by GC17 or GWS. Throw Foley and Daledio into the mix, and it could be a decent midfield in a few years time...

Nahas even played well.

Good for you lads to have a win Spiesy!

The ground reminded me of something that would have been played on in the 80's with the amount of mud that was there - so much rain!!!
