 so that is the Japenese version of BNE. A guy did an interview with the New York Times claiming to be BNE - was not Japanese in that version. He spoke about the font that is used and how it is designed etc to try to proove his ID. Story had major holes though, like not including Oz as a destination that had been hit etc etc. Dudes in Thailand has made similar claim.

-- Yeah -- Reka just got back from Japan ADD - so hence all the fresh ups.

Hmmm.. Yeah the whole crew were there for the Everfresh blackbook launch.. So we saw Reks, Megs, Sync, Phibske, Rone, Stabs, etc etc. Think Kirpy went with them too cos alot of fresh Kirpy stickers.. :) MAD.. made me feel at home a little.. :)

Also, I Will check with my source re BNE.. Interesting either way hey !! {Was a fairly solid source tho.. Will post again soon}...

Yep pretty seedy hey man.. Sort of like the area a mate of mine (also VERY seedy but a MUST know person if u know what i mean;)) used to live in Nagoya city when I loved in Japan..

Another v trusty source told me that although they look scary as fuck and they intimidate alot of peeps walking past, they would rarely actually ever do anything. Reason being, most of them are illegals and can't afford to get caught, plus, the keisatsu (Coppers in Japanese) can lock you up for like 20 days or something, with ZERO reason..

I told a couple to GTFO when they were harassing some young Japanese girls that wrre not impressed. Although they gave me major evils, no issues.

Weird place roppongi hey.. The place for the rich gaijins i reckon.. couldn't..

Yeah the one and only time I felt unsafe in Japan was one night after a gig in Roppongi

Had a few beers in me and walked down the main street (Higashi Dori I think) looking for a place to have another couple of quiet ones

Within about 5mins I'd been hassled by a few spruikers. Didn't think much of it til this one guy got really persistent and annoying, following me for about half a block. Had a rush of blood to the head and told him to get fucked. He and his mates did not look amused. In that moment I thought to myself "You dickhead. Alone in a foreign country and just told a few massive African dudes who are probably associated with yakuza to shove it". Totally had visions of a bunch of them bailing me up in a dark alley and smashing the living suitcase out of me........Obviously they didn't do anything, but I hightailed it to the metro and headed home

I once drunkenly drew a penis on a bathroom door, does that make me a street artist? also reminds me, I need to buy my mate's mum some flowers to say sorry :(

AWESOME tashma!

love it!

gareth - even though you are joking, my personal opinions is that getting up in toilets does NOT constitute taking a risk, which the term 'street art' implies. hence all the taggers who have fucked up my stencil work in the toliets here can eat a dick.
