melbournebikes.com = awesome

I ended up getting toe covers instead of booties... okay for mildy cool/wet rides, but my feet have still been numb of a morning ride over the past fortnight (even with two pairs of socks on)... need to get some proper insulated booties as well, my shoes are way too well ventilated.

i have been watching Biggest Loser, its great for drama and tips on health. One of the trainers said food makes up 80% assisting health and weight loss. I tend to agree, i have been working on the food front more so lately and noticing changes. And my exercise regime is pretty lame, gym at least once a week, try for twice most weeks and walking everywhere i can. My biggest hurdle at the moment is cutting out dairy. i love it but it gives me a pot belly dammit. Why does it have to taste so damn good :(

day 4 no dairy no carbs.

its fucking hard! went out for dinner at the pub last night and there was only one thing on the menu, and even then it was fried fritters. going to give it 4 weeks and see if any results.

also no training this morning cos of torrential rain - so gym 2 days in a row instead.

i think because certain areas of my life are totes out of my control right now i am being all control freak about my eating/fitness.

me and yoshi both on new heathly diets. he needs to gain weight and stop allergies and i need to remove last 5 kilos of pudding. and yes liz - cheese is my one true love, and now we are divorced :(

hahaha no way, i am well addicted this season for some reason. They should do more teaching about food etc though. Educate the public! Not everyone can work out 6 hours a day at the gym. If we all could do that there would be no fatties. Should assist with showing how losing weight can be done in your regular life me thinks.

That and to watch them getting smashed to shit on the obstacle course.

My new thing is wheatgrass. Got put onto it by a celeb MMA fighter that came and trained in our gym. He swears by it.
Been on it for about 3 weeks now, and feeling strong as. It's a great supplement for an already healthy diet, as one shot is the equivalent of over a kilo of green vegies.
I got my setup from here...

http://www.bondiwheatgrass.com.au

Go to 'growers kits' and get the $55 deal. It has everything you need. Then I got a wheatgrass juicer of ebay for $67 (you cant use a normal juicer or blender with wheatgrass, it has to be the particular type of juicer than crushes the grass rather than cutting it, as the human body will not digest grass in its natural state).

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 5995wt_905

I now have my Dad growing it, and have converted a few other dudes too.
It grows fast as, but there's a few set rules you have to follow - the instructions all come with the package.

Better than growing dope - healthier, funner - while also lessening your chance of being raped in prison :)

It doesn't taste that bad. Though it can taste totally shithouse if it isn't fresh - like lawn clippings mixed with shit.
Seriously tho, my skin, my hair, everything, is all looking and feeling a bit smoother.
My penis has even grown several inches in the last 3 weeks (though that was width - waiting for the length to kick in) :smt002

i'll leave the last comment right alone drew

cider is worst squirrel. wine has less cals that beer. vodka and soda best

lots of peeps pick up weight through what they drink- even outside of alcohol. So many people i see drink no water at all- just juice and soft drink every day. so gross. rotten teef and TONNNNES of calories. for the times i've heard 'i'm drinking juice- but it's no added sugar' zomg kill me

Large boost has more calories than a Big Mac I think?

I like the way Boost juices have (had?) breakdowns for stuff listed by 100g and a serving, but the serving was half a large cup.

WTF?

i only have stats here on a pint of lager > 250 cals Vs large glass of wine (280ml) being 180 cals

I guess a pot of beer would make it less yeh but more carbs in beer also so it ends up being worse choice

i laugh at all those girls skipping lunch and 'just having a juice'.

http://www.boostjuicebars.com/docs/9463 ... igures.pdf

195 calories per 100ml and there are 650ml in a large one > you just waxed your entire calorie intake for the day

that's just juice. the smoothies zomg- 300 calories per 100ml!!!

Nowhere near recommended daily intake is it?

listing nutritional information by per 100g or 100ml serving is a good thing imo - makes it easy to work out the percentage breakdown, you can then easily apply that to any measurement to work out exactly what you're eating or drinking.

Yeah it just annoys me when they list by 100ml and then by serving. But a serving is half of the cup of drink.

MMm manderins and soft drinks.

Only good thing about winter is hot milo and manderins.
The fruit and veg shop in Macleod always has amazing ones.

Ah soft drink, the most hollow of callories and sugar.
I read the nutritinal info of a can of coke once and then decided to measure out into a glass using raw sugar just how much sugar you consume by drinking 1 single can of coke (we were drunk and bored and had been talking about health) it was fucking shocking!

I'm now walking 3.5km nearly 4-5 days a week and attempting to eat healthy. Although my intake of hollow calories in forms of beer and cider does not help me much :(
The fridge is angry, the cheese told me so.

Watch out for the penguins, they are comming
