saw The Fighter last night with some buddies, and loved it! I thought the characters were brilliant and the story was great.

i just watched Despicable Me. HOLY CRAP!!!! Best movie EVER!!!!!! I loved every fricken minute, not one bad bit in the whole movie. It is now equal number one top movie with Cinema Paradiso. Or maybe i need cartoon top 10 to separate out my movie loves. Oh man, could watch this movie over and over. My stomach hurts from laughing so much. That fart machine had me laughing so much i almost stopped breathing. Oh man, so good

liked the other guys too - some very funny moments and overall held together well

watched despicable me up to about when he adopted them but wasn't sustaining my interest - didn't like the little yellow things really and couldn't suspend my disbelief enough at why he adopted them really.

toy story 3 was great though

there goes my international flight movie roundup. i tried kick ass but too much editing and swears taken out to enjoy

yeah i dunno, each to theirs i guess

it did have a few redeeming features such as the cinematography and costumes

the first bit is so tense i was on the edge of my seat waiting for something terrifying to happen and it just never did........i thought the unco fist fight at the end was mega lame and a total anti climax

potential was there for some proper psychologically challenging stuff to happen but imo it all just fell in a smelly heap

well, kindergarten cop was a pretty effective subversion of the post-feminist discourse of relationship and childrearing dynamics. and twins provided an insightful critique of current worrying trends in genetic manipulation and dna strand privitisation.

my bad, i didn't realise Arnie was taking on such pivitol roles that would greatly impact society and the way we think. He really is a true master of his craft.

i think there is a total recall remake coming soonish. its based on a philip k dick short story I think, the central idea and scope for ambiguity in ending were pretty solid.

anyone watch I, robot? I saw a bit and it looked, well at least interesting

on the topic of robots, one of the best kids movies (and great for adults who like animation) has to be the iron giant. and underappreciated classic

lol whatever, i didn't even know he was in it til i started watching it!

i just reckon it's a massively over hyped movie that's all

the reviews on imdb are hilarious.................
What makes it so unique is that the story starts off as a simple but exhilarating rescue mission; but then it suddenly switches gears and becomes a fight for survival for everyone involved. The genius of that!

Fucking christ I hope they're not remaking it. The original still holds up today, needs no meddling.

The short story that it was based on is really nothing like the movie.

Watched Paranormal Activity 2 last night.
Was a fan of the original and quite enjoyed the sequel. Still takes a while to get started with a heap of anticlimactic build-ups, but that was expected.

I really enjoyed how it tied itself in with the first. After watching it's quite obvious why they re-made the ending for the commercial release of the first. Wont give anything away tho!

One of those love it or hate it type of movies. If you liked the first one, get on it.

oh the trailer for paranormal activity was enough for me- looked terrifying. but i'm a massive scaredy cat

agree predator is one of the best. i lovvvve it. know every line!

the fighter was solid. bale has to get an oscar- he was brilliant. a very likeable crackhead. man the sisters were rough. lol at their 80's hairstyles

black swan was darker than i imagined but it didn't really get me in. i dunno- i expected more..

winter's bone was pretty bleak but well done. recommend seeing that one

also caught the first blomkvist DVD- girl with the dragon tatt or whatever.. hmm was ok. the chick who played salander is good- mad tough bitch, blomkvist actor also a good choice- as i imagined them from the book. the boss erika what's her face really didn't sit right though- i imagined she'd be hot and they made her out to be really strong. she was a bit flakey imo. a small thing i guess..

I saw Black Swan last night. Thought it was incredible. Dark, beautiful, sexy and tragic. Most original new film I've seen in years. Cinematography, acting, music, story - all excellent.

Will watch again.

watched Animal Kingdom last night. bloody brilliant.

Absolute pearler of an aussie cast including Ben Mendhelson, Joel Edgerton and Guy Pearce. Great story in the way an aussie crime movie only can be, very hello australia in the dialogue had me laughing inapporiately in a couple of spots. Gets quite dark in spots.

highly recommend everyone have a watch was totally rad.

Yeah the idea is for more "shocking" than the movie, which is pretty bad.

If you want shocking, watch Serbian film. But you probably shouldn't.
