Madman has 31 films at Miff this year.

The greatest movie ever sold is awesome, and Melancholia is beautiful as are Kursten Dunst's baps. Yes Submarine will get a release. I have an upcoming project for the promotion which should be pretty cool to work on... :)

watched No Strings Attached with my little sisters on Friday night. No brainer chick flick. Had some hilarious moments like when they had their period sync up and one goes - *sobs* its like there is a crime scene in my pants. Laffed so much at that. Kutcher is well hot in it, he is a well hot man though, just better when he doesn't talk.

I really liked 127 hours, but then I have never seen a Danny Boyle movie I didn't like. Harrowing though.

Seen a couple of pretty bad movies lately

The Green Hornet - Just terrible. The script was incredibely poor, the story quite uninteresting, and Seth Rogen was just awful. Although, to be fair, he had very little to work with. Seriously avoid it at all costs

Thor - Not as bad as The Green Hornet, but it still sucked quite a bit. The story wasn't particularly interesting. I spent most of my time trying to figure out how after Black Swan Natalie Portman could attach herself to such a bad movie, but then I had a flashback to The Phantom Menance and it all fell into place. Quite dissapointing as the marvel movie franchise has delivered so many times with X Men and Iron Man etc. This one just fell flat though. For me at least.

So there you go. A DC Comics movie and a Marvel Comics movie and they both sucked. A lot.

i actually thought thor was good, daft fun. and I don't normally take much pleasure in daft movies. then again, i did go to stiener school, which is steeped in nordic mythology - so I quite liked that whole aspect.

the green lantern looks absolutely shiftful though

watched:
* 'the guard' - a must see, hands down
* 'pirates of the carribean: on stranger tides' - better with no kiera knightley, but not really worth watching overall
* 'hanna' - seems like a large part of the film that contained key plot points was replaced by edits created by a 'run lola run' enthusiast

my choice in movies when hungover is appalling i know, but you go with it....ahhhh see what i did there!

anyways, movie was good for not using brain. had mega hot babes in it i must say. some very moments when i actually lol'd. however, how they think Adam Sandler passes as the charming hot doctor i will never know. seriously? Sandler boy? being the hot guy of the movie? i was two days on the drink and still couldn't fathom it

pretty good movie, dont know if i missed parts and there was supposed to be twists or something but it seemed kind of obvious what was going to happen from because they expained the storyline pretty well :P

Recently I have seen:

The Guard - Didn't like it. First 15 mins was good, then it just got weird in a really boring way.
Cedar Rapids - Good lighthearted fun, very enjoyable

Actually that's it. Sorry, I though there was more.

LOL

recently watched:

Kung Fu Panda 2. Fantastic. The KFP movies are some of my favourite animations. Funny as fuck for the most part and the design of the fight scenes is siiick.

Defendor. I like Woody Harrelson. I dislike this movie. Boring.

The Tree of Life. Stunningly shot. Hard to believe a majority of the SFX were made without computers.

I love you Phillip Morris. I'm not uncomfortable with the gay love thing, just uncomfortable watching Jim Carrey make out with Ewan McGregor. Or, Ace Ventura and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Overall it was really well acted and cleverly written.

am I a bad person for downloading Dumb and Dumber?

:scr1pt: Couldn't have said it better. Think i've seen at least 4 or 5 movies that he's done and he's done exactly that. Lost Highway, Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, City of Lost Children... can't remember if there were any more. Man is a genius!

So i finally got a chance to sit down and watch "Drive" Last night...

Great film..besides the main actor who was obviously told "ok, just look into the nothingness and think of nothingness...yeah thats it...blank as hell. just don't have any expression on your face the entire film". This might have been in order to keep it raw and real like the rest of the film...but seriously..he had NO expression the entire film...

"Come in Mr Blank.,..."

Watched 3 movies last night.

Sanctum - Naff, thought it was James Cameron turns out he just put his name on it for some reason. Like watching Neighbours in a cave. 4/10

Horrible Bosses - utterly retarded. maybe 3 funny scenes. 4/10

Super 8 -finally something good. typical Spielberg I guess, very cinematic and beautifully produced. Like all good sci fi takes ages for anything to happen with well-developed characters. 8/10

Watched Drug Store Cowboy for the first time yesterday (1989). I thought it was very very good. A little slow and sparse but thats the kind of mood I was in.

Matt Dillon is great as the lead as a junkie, although I thought all the actors looked a little clean and keeping it together to portray junkies too well, except for Max Perlich who does the tweaky speed freak thing quite well.

watched Snowtown the other night. My god its an amazing film, and knowing its fairly accurate to the actual murders and people makes it more intense. Cant stop thinking about it, especially Jamie, just so fucked up and horrible what happened to him
