Can I just take a moment to say,
Bloody well hats off to MBC
I was thinking about this monthly mix thing yesterday and in my opinion its one of the better things happening in the melbourne dance music community at the moment.
seriously, think about it.
each month, an individual is offerend the opporrunity to step to the plate and have a swing. to show us their style, their personality, and what they are capable of.
this has such an important impact on the whole scene IMO
it gets everyone excited again, gets people exposure, gets people to really concentrate on improving and perfecting their skills and performances.
it offers promoters (hopefully) a chance to see some talent that might have gone unnoticed.
as an a exercise, it just creates a whole lot of momentum and enthusiasm for the scene, for the music, and the indiviudals who love it.
and rest assured there really is nothing in melb's like it. yes people can put their mixes on other forums and sites, but this way each mix is afforded the attention it deserves, and it adds a whole sense of anticipation and excitement to it.
NICE ONE GUYS. THIS ROCKS!!!!
