if you wanna see if you can sync faster, change the Coding Gain on your router to 7 (or max).

prolly alot faster but sometimes not as stable.

see the 'internet' thread ... iinet are pretty damn sharp, as are internode. avoid ozemail though, they're overpriced. adsl2+ is a maximum of 24mbit/sec. hell yes!

But not all exchanges support adsl 2+.
It all depends on where you live. Which side of the track...

I got adsl2 running at 11mbps and i want to see how fast i can download. Do you just search the net for stuff to download or is there some way of testing how fast it is? Cos most downloads go at like 60kbs and thats same as normal adsl.

I was lucky, I got upgraded for free :) at the same cost as regualr ADSL, only problem is that now it's so god damn fast I'm gunna have to go for a 30 or 40gig plan instead of 20gig.

but anyway..... Look here: www.broadbandchoice.com.au I cannot recommend it enough

torrents with hella (and i mean hella) seeders are the best to test that shit out with. almost all web servers will throttle bandwidth to something they can manage per connection - with torrents you can have as many NAT connections as your router can handle - setup a dedicated linux box and you can have thousands and thousands.

18000kBytes/s is the best ive got in richmond on iinet.

as for HDD space 600GB SATA RAID array here 8) im fine for awhile. got another 200 or so GB on my modded xbox too.

One of the exchanges I work at in the City is so full that they aren't allowed any more equipment on the floor because the floor is buckling. You can see the cracks from the level below.

Thats what you get for packing rooms designed for mainframes with gear.
