KILLA BEATS @ THE ESPY // SAT OCT 7TH // FREE ENTRY!!!
KILLA BEATS @ THE ESPY // SAT OCT 7TH // FREE ENTRY!!!
After an eventful few months together, including a name, venue and sex change, brothers-in-arms Guyno, Ferris, Hans-DC and Obliveus have finally landed on their feet and found a new home at, of all places, The Espy. Known for their rock nights, booze sessions and legendary 33 and 1/3 events, the kids down in St. Kilda are under new guidance from some heavyweight players in the scene and they mean to play for keeps. In addition to the total renovation of the venue, from the sound system all the way up to the roof, literally, they’ve also sparked a musical change of direction. And who better to lead this new change of direction than the boys behind some of the funkiest parties to hit this town in the past decade?
Killa Beats will be about leaving your preconceptions at the door and dancing your ass off. Call the music what you will: breaks, house, hiphop, electro, dancehall, funk; we call it FUN! With a Nexo sound system on display each and every month, you know the beats will sound fatter than yo mama suckin down Christmas dinner.
You want to know something even better? The whole night is absolutely, positively FREE!!! Yeah, we could’ve charged entry, but decided to give you more money for porn, fast food and their pub priced drinks.
So there you have it. A free night with a nasty sound system pumping tunes from 4 dudes who’ve seriously gone postal not running a party for these past few months.
Killa Beats @ The Espy Public Bar. 11 The Esplanade, St Kilda. Saturday October 7th. 9pm – 3am, FREE ENTRY! EVERY FIRST SAT OF THE MONTH!!!
