Seems everyone who has an existing mix got a re-nom..

How about an ongoing option for them to update their existing mix, & therefore ensure fresh talent each month...

Why not just get the top guys to do mixes?

We haven't had one yet from those guys anyway.

lynt wrote:The list we currently have is now a bit dated. I figure it's time to vote again for the members you most wish to see a mix from.

Go forth and drop names. You've got a week to vote as we want to choose the next mixologist ASAP, and it's November already!

Basically the way it works is; we tally the amount of times a name is listed, then list the total from most votes to least, then generate a random number and count from the top down until the name is found.

It's more random than alphabetical order, and it's also not a popularity contest.

Cheers.

No poll needed. Names entered into random generator. More times voted here more times name entered into selection process.
Gives out fairer chance.

The voting closed today, though it's fair to give everyone equal oppertunity. So please only add names that aren't already in the list now.

Also, the next mixologist has been selected. Just waiting for confirmation.

It was a random number. The amount of names voted for doesnt give a better chance, it just shakes the list up a little bit so we're not running on an alphabetical list.

What about a set list for peeps not keen doing a mix. I reckon some peeps on mb.com have pretty amazing musical influences and itwould be rad to check out a mix tape style list.

I know someone who did a mixtape that was done in chronological order of their musical influences whislt they were growing up. was mad. something thats very interesting and very personal.

hmmm might even start me a thread on that one.

Well if it is, and correct me if I'm wrong - but there's like 2-3 names in the new list that have already done a mix isn't there?

Lucas, Obliveus and Ides have haven't they? As much as I'd still love to hear repeat mixes from all these people!

When they were pulling names out of a hat, I can recall that Lucas did get drawn again! But it got re-drawn and they pulled out someone else. Even though their names are in the list, they are ineligible to do another one.

But I agree with you though. I think some people aren't aware that these guys have already done a mix. There's a sticky at the top of the mixes forum with all the previous mixes, which I've pointed people to on a few occasions.

Mods, do you think it's an idea that there is a sticky at the top of the main forum with links to these guys mixes so it's obvious that these guys have done a mix? Maybe make it a locked thread just with the DJ name and a link to the mix? I know it's a bit overkill, but it seems some people don't always visit the mixes forum.
