Bukem and Conrad side show!!

Post by autumnleaves »

Hey everyone,

Anybody know if Bukem and Conrad are going to be playing a side show in addition to the Future Music show?

Cheers
JP

[well i edited the question mark in the title, now it is a point of exclamation!]

I hope so... the rest of that lineup is pretty average.

Id say it would depend if the Future party sold out or not.

from what I hear Bukem is running the ring toss and Conrad is going to grift out front.

never known them to play multiple shows.. when they came out for gatecrasher 4/5 years back i can't remember a side show.. still, it would be nice, i also don't feel like wading thru the rest of the line up for them..

Haven't missed a Bukem and Conrad show in 6-7 years... But, I'll be missing this one if there's no solo show - rest of the lineup is average.

i'd have to agree with you there System...

matter of fact i'd rather the ASC, Chris Inperspective and Blame tour happen again. Those two shows truly illustrated just how misleading the term liquid is when it is used to describe, or rather segregate, some drum and bass. I guess there will always be exceptions to the rules....

oh, and you might as well put Nookie on the bill. Go on....

Bukem is playing this weekend in Toronto, it's one of the most anticipated gigs of the year. The guy who got me into dnb, its his bday, he's assembled a massive crew mostly of other aquariuses. There's so much demand they've bumped Bukem from the good sized Orange Room - maybe 400, 500 people? To the adjacent Guvernment entertainment complex, which can accommodate several thousand.

Not sure Bukem and Conrad will have that same live effect at a big festival with no other dnb acts on the bill.

^^^
but, then again, it might go down very well.

When Coldcut performed some of their DnB live it went down a treat on the main stage which was playing quality beats and breaks all afternoon (Stantons, Cut Chemist were before them)

a change in beat structure is always quite refreshing, in my experience

Maybe I could do it properly, second time around!

At least two of those guys should be out this year anyway.

I'd be interested to hear Bukem's playlist at the moment, at any rate. I'll see him in Sydney, if he plays up here.

Yeah, it's in the hi-fi ads in the paper.. So that makes it Ed Rush & Optical one weekend, LTJ & Conrad the next.
