FREE MONEY!!! Open an ING Maximiser Account b4 11pm tonight
7 days later you can withdraw $123, no minimum deposit, but I assume, that to open an account, you need to deposit something. But how is that a catch, ooooh, I've got 0.50c tied up for a week, and can't tounch, but then I get $123... damn it, what a tricky little ploy

I been with ING for ages. They are dope and i recommend them to everyone.
I loves them cause:
- you can deposit what you like, when you like
- they have no branches.. so no ATM's... which is good for peeps like me who go on benders and withdraw all their coin....
- they are all about the internet: which i love
- never had a bad customer service experience with them.. friendly as staff
- no bank fees...
- quarterly (or even less if you nominate) bank statements - save the trees!
- good interest rates.. sometimes as good as term deposit.. i reckon i made about $500+ in interest over the last few years..
yep, i rate em

Pfft, I was with Bendigo (savings acct, with Eftpos) the customer service wasAg3nT[]0raNg3 wrote:word up Hegg!
im with Bendigo!!
shit, the staff were less than friendly and to top it all of they sent me a
letter claiming I owed them almost $9000 in over draft on a credit account
(not, I had a SAVINGS account, NOT a credit thus impossible for me to
even have such an over draft) and that they were threatening legal action.
Needless to say, I gave them the 1 finger salute and told them where to go.

PUCK YOU MISS ~~!
I'm sad to see such cynicism in my favourite junglists.
Fents, Special Heggs, Lynt, Shepard - you guys make me sad with your jaded attitude. Do you get so argumentative when K-Mart has a 20% off all manchester sale (excluding doilies)??? When McDonalds offer a free upsize with every McHappy Meal purchase?? Come on! Just TAKE IT, take their money!!! I mean, sheeet!
Oh, and yes, you can open an account with $0 - transferring some dollars from your current account is secondary. And as Quick so eloquently put it, 0.50c ain't gonna break da bank
I'm glad it put a smile on some people's faces just thinking of what they could do with an extra $123. I know there's heaps I can use it for

Well, I don't have any dirt on ING specifically. My belief is that the whole way we do banking is misguided and directs money to the few rather than to the greater community.
With community banks, the net profits stay in the community instead of lining the pockets of shareholders who, in the interest of profit, might support and thus fund the destruction of Tasmanian old growth forest (as in the case of Westpac, Commonwealth and ANZ).
With a credit union, if you have an account, you are a shareholder. Credit unions don't generate profit for shareholders but they are democratic: each member has voting rights and a say in how their credit union is run.
I don't have enough space here to go into the big banks like Deutschebank, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase. Suffice to say they are crawling with "former" C.I.A. and many other unscrupulous characters from government and organised crime. Citibank, for one, is up to its ears in cocaine smuggling, believe me.
PS: Sorry Mixxy, didn't mean to rain on your parade. I know your post was in a spirit of generosity - hell, I could always use a spare $123.

Are you seriously telling me though that you feel your 'vote' would do shit if you wanted to take a personal stand against ur credit union?? If I'm shitting with my banking institute, I leave. Full stop, end o' discussion. Best vote you can lodge, I say

Sounds like any standered Bank deal....Specially when u owe the pricks +$200K then seem to be alot more friendly.stovequeen wrote:I been with ING for ages. They are dope and i recommend them to everyone.
