PHACE
As a trail of thought ends, so begins a trail of life: the biographical journey of the Drum & Bass production duo known as Phace. Hailing from the capital of the land on the Western border of Germany through which the Saar River flows, the psyches of Nicolas Ruoff and Florian Harres bizarrely merged by means of the little understood phenomenon of neurofusion whilst dancing to the music of Drum & Bass pioneers such as Ed Rush & Optical, Photek, Konflict, Matrix and Teebee to form the unified brain behind Phace’s violently contorted yet subliminally delicate musical reality
The first extracts of this analytical sound surfaced in 2004 on German labels Shadybrain and Protogen, but it was fellow lunatics Noisia alerting seasoned Norwegian Neuro-explorer Teebee to Phace’s sinister new strain that resulted in them finding a suitable patron to publish the explicit sonic results of their mental meanderings. 2005 saw the duo’s first release on Teebee’s Subtitles Recordings in the form of Brainwave/Polymers, the strength of which immediately injected their Neuropunk strain into the DJing veins of the likes of Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix and Calyx
Phace were rewarded for their vigorous laboratorial studies in 2005 at the German Future Music D&B Awards where they won the award for Best National Producers and were voted Second Best National DJs. Phace are harnessing technology to smoulder sound, making it implode on every drop and penetrate the deepest most hidden chasms of the audiences’ mentality. Their music gives the listener no choice but to confront it, to take that introspective journey in search for the phantom, and to come Face To Phace.
MISANTHROP
Misanthrop is Michael Braeuninger , based in Stuttgart , southwest of Germany.
He was caught up by the dark sounds and menacing beats of ‘drum and bass’ in the early nineties , as it developed more into an intense musical hybrid .
.This is when he decided to produce his own tracks under the name ‘Misanthrop’ , which enables him to use music as a medium to express personal experiences of human interactions. His musical arrangements symbolicly oppose to the lack of candour – his aim is to break through the borders of conventions to set new unusal grounds.
With his debut on Teebee´s imprint Subtitles and his release on Mayhem’s Shadow Law Rec., Misanthrop gets heavy rotation with the likes of Calyx, DNAudio Crew, Mayhem, Noisia, Pendulum, Phace, Teebee. Come bear witness the lethal sounds of German drum n bass !

what...wha' happened?
Thank you BBA, always coming through with the goodies you lads are, well done.
Thanks to the Laundry staff for being fun. Having staff headbanging behind the bar is such a pleasure to watch.
Big downs to the fuckknuckle that stole my top and jacket midway through the night and had me all depressed and shit. Big ups to having them not like my top and jacket enough to steal, and leaving it for me to find at the end of the night.
The sound system in there is amazing. It does the tunes justice, making them full to the brim with super bass.
Nice

Only the meek get pinched...the bold survive
Thwas a good night, not the usual DnB crowd which was interesting, at one point I felt like I was at a Blue Light disco with all the making out going on the dance floor
Big Ups BBA lads! Loved all sets of course, well done Safire & DaBeata for holding the forth for a good 4 hours solid!
Big Ups to the Staff always good seeing them getting into it! Big Ups to the bouncers are well for helping me get rid of dodgy dudes while on the door!
Looking forward to what BBA will have installed for 2008! Bring.It.On!
P.S. Loved the afro Mal! teehee
