nah, I used to watch it occasionally.

unfortuantely, from memory it was on the ABC before something I actually wanted to watch. theme tune of MCOG was OK though, from memory.

Yes! I had totally forgotten the name of this cartoon series until a month ago and then went on a downloading rampage. Talk about digging up past memories ... those magical coins still give me the shivers!

A DVD would be mad.

In the year 1532, Mendoza, a Spanish Navigator, Estaban, a young orphan, Zia, a young Incan girl, and a band of Spanish sailors set sail from Barcelona in search of El Dorado, the Mysterious City of Gold. Each is on a personal quest of discovery, heritage, and wealth. This is their story...

The Mysterious Cities of Gold is a 39-episode animated series that was produced in 1982. It was a French/Japanese co-production that was loosely based on the Scott O'Dell book: The King's Fifth.

Since 1982, The Mysterious Cities of Gold has aired on television stations around the world, and has gone by many different names. In Japan it is known as "Taiyô no ko Esteban", In the United States it is known either as "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" or "Estaban and the Seven Cities of Gold", and in France it is known as "Les Mystérieuses cités d'or".

I love downloading torrents of old cartoons I used to watch as a kid. You get every episode of every season, then watch two (or even just the opening/closing credits), and go "Wow, this amused me?" :D Then you leave it on your hard drive for 6 months, thinking "next week.... next week will be the one" and eventually you delete it.

series 1-3 of batman animated are killer

series 4 was way budget in animation and setup and went wrong

sadly a lot of the plot arcs were not completed like ones with Ras al Ghul - kickarse villan - so pleased to see him in the last movie

Agree. I watched the old Zelda cartoon not long ago, I used to think it was dope, it actually sucked. Same with Sonic & Friends.

Needs more Brian slapping Lois's ass.
