I thought it was only OK. Whoever edited it is crap... It was way over the top and trying to be modern and "cool" like CSI. Lots of pauses, sharp cuts WAY over the top music that was out of place and generally poorly put together.
Generally I thought it lacked substance and attention to detail. New trams in 1995?? Come on, that shit is easy to get right.
However, I think it has potential as the characters were developed fairly well and it's an interesting story.
In sort: the editors should hold a higher view of the inelegance of their audience and not always bombard you to get a point across... I guess it is channel 9.
First you get her name. Then you get her number. Then you get some get some in the back seat of a hummer!
just finished now, overall opinion pretty good. wish carl williams was less slapstick, but oh well. some things are a bit too obvious and telegraphed, but overall ... can't think of many aussie dramas from the past few years that are better. (or even good.)

I agree with all, but that didn't distract me.
Tits, violence, gangsters and all free of advertising.
Understand the critisism of the editing, some major editing rules broken that are a bit basic (cut on axis kinda shit). So yeah, its Auusie crap. In that regard we still have not got a good production house in oz really.
That siad... I love it. This show is about more than just the production values. Before seeing it I thought the stallions would have loved to have been put in lights like this, but now I am not so sure. And no dirty cops? right.
i enjoyed it, but not from a production and acting point of view thats for sure, thought the acting/lines were horrendous at times, real cringe worthy. Surely it cant be that hard to have more natural dialog and less contrived stereotyping BS. I couldnt believe it when Alfonzo walks into that party in St Kilda and takes the music off and starts playing that italian opera legos ad song *shudder*... But im gonna keep watching it for the storyline.
I really enjoyed it as well. I did notice some things wernt aged as well as others, but I dont watch TV and movies for the art factor of it, so I dont care or enjoy the show less.
Loved being able to see Melbourne as well, really show to feel that familiarity in a show.
watched. thought it was okay, kept me watching. But man the editing and music line-up. i even noticed when they were trying to line up the music with what was happening and it fell out of sync.
lol at Tarantula (Pendi) and Spider Bait tune playing. i lol'd.
and yeah i reckon the director loves teh boobs for sure. it made me laff after a while. we could have played drinking games to boobs popping up on screen. would be smashed by the end.
the chick narrating (and is female cop) used to work with me, she is a good sort

only seems to be up to episode 6 online...
besides which work is cracking down on us downloading, and we've moved house and the bastards are taking forever to come out and connect our internet at home
if you have a external firewire hard drive ill be happy to transfer to you, but if you want on DVD im less likely to help you out, im burning them now and its taken me all farkin afternoon. Will be giving copy to D sometime soon
But in a way I kinda like having to wait each week to get it.
It was like the Saprano's. I did not download it, but waited till it showed on TV. THe suspense and having something to wait for is part of the appeal for me.

totally, though they could always claim it was stolen or some such, they have people going in and out of those studios all the time, would be hard to trace it to one particular person, prob just a stern memo about the office syaing if they are caught, instant dismissal

fine then, ill make you come over once a week to get an episode at a time, ill also dub in some ads to give you the full TV appeal.
watch the lot last night (up to ep 7 anyway as the copy i have of 8 & 9 is farked and glitches out )
But yeah its quite good, very entertaining, lots of lol's lots of T & A too
started watching and I don't think the music being from a different decade phases me. it was rad hearing drum'n'bass during the fight scene. its not as if modern music can't be used on older movies, or current music gets used on futuristic movies, check out the classical score the original star wars them.
