Hey Eric, spend just a lil longer on the ATO site and you shall find it. It is just a standard hobby form, no mention of DJ or entertainer. You are allowed to earn any where up to $5,500 from last time I looked.

Yeah, just found it. Damn, that was hard...

For anyone that's in need of it in the future:

It also says that you may have to supply the venue you play at with a written statement which says:

"The supply of services (DJ'ing, MC'ing, etc) relates to a private recreational pursuit or hobby"

At the minimum, this statement should contain:

1. Your name and address.
2. Why it is not necessary to withhold taxes.
3. Your signature.

Hope that helps anyone that may be in need of this info in the future.
