I purchased this brand new on ebay from a power seller from Melbourne with 1000 sales. Paid 5 weeks ago, but still no camera. Police will be involved. Not a happy chappy at the moment as I stand to lose $2000

Have you considered a battery grip for your 450? I have big hands so a battery grip was a big help when I had a 400D. Michaels do rentals - http://www.michaels.com.au/pages/servic ... t-hire.phpjbs wrote:You can't really tell from a few minutes though.
Are there places that rent bodies?
The only reason I really want to upgrade is I realised I'm not holding the 450d right, which gives me a cramp in my little finger after a while (or after lots of pick up put downs). When I held a 40D it just felt better. I like the wheel better than the directional keys too, not that it really matters.
It's actuall a 400d, I was tired when I wrote that.BammBamm wrote:Have you considered a battery grip for your 450? I have big hands so a battery grip was a big help when I had a 400D. As an update on my previous post. I never did get my camera. The police executed a search warrant and arrested the seller a couple of weeks ago. The guy ripped off a total of $30,000 off people on ebay. He confessed to having a gambling problem and all $30,000 was lost at Crown Casino. The court case is in September, but the officer I have been dealing with thinks they may borrow some money from family to pay me back before the case goes to court as the judge is likely to be more leniant on them. I am sceptical.bassfreak wrote:Just upgraded my Nikon D70 to a Nikon D300.

Live view. SICK.The Canon EOS 1000D Digital SLR is a DSLR that fulfils your photographic desires in a lightweight and ergonomically designed body. With a 10.1 megapixels CMOS sensor inside to capture remarkable image detail and sharpness, this image sensor enables users to develop A4-size prints and retainable image quality even when cropping your image. To capture dramatic mid-action shots, the Canon EOS 1000D offers a continuous burst shooting of large JPEG images at speeds of up to 3 frames per second, until the memory card is full. A wide-area Auto Focus System uses 7 separate focusing point to lock onto subject fast and the central focus point enables focusing even under low-light or low-contrast conditions.

On a lighter note, I have just purchased another Nikon D300 on ebay. Have used paypal this time which now offers a $20,000 gaurantee, which will help me sleep better at night!
Has anyone ever bough stuff ogg Gumtree before. Have never used it before. My first impression is there may be a lot of hot property in there.
Check this listing:

A package for $550 which is easily worth $1700-$2000
I like the look of the Nikkor 55m f 2.8 Micro!*catalyst wrote:Hey gang.
