Hi All,

Hope this mesage finds you well.

Just letting you know that my current photographic exhibition is ending on September 13.

I still have 14 of the original 25 images on display and as an extra added bonus I am selling them all at cost price on Sept 12!!

Prices range from $100(A4) - $170(A2) and each image is individually signed, numbered and beautifully framed.

If you are interested in coming in for a drink, having a final look or perhaps picking up an image, I am throwing 'closing drinks' on Friday Sept 12 from 6.30pm, at the Red Monkey Tea House, 470 Victoria St, North Melbourne.

If you pop in before then, the bar has catalogues and can take deposits for the remaining images, that can then be picked up when the exhibition finishes.

Additionally, there is still an opportunity to order reprints of those images already sold directly from the catalogue!

Please RSVP as soon as you can, as space is very limited.

Thanks for your time.

Kind Regards,

Rob Steer

Some I took on the west coast of France last week. The weather, sadly, was a bit shithouse.

The Canon Photo5 Comp is open again (the one where they send you a box full of random objects and you submit your best pics of each)

http://www.canon.com.au/photo5/default.aspx

I entered last year and I'm pretty sure a few others from here did too
I think I am, Therefore I am. I think

So what are the laws for paparazzi?
I was walking down Chapel st the other day and saw a celebrity/sportsman having lunch with another and i had my camera with me. Now im not the kind of person to normally think of taking photos of celebrities but after i walked past it got me thinking that i could have perhaps sold that photo if i had taken it. What are the legalities involved of such a situation? would i have to be sneaky and make sure they dont see me? or can i just waltz up and take a pic?

They are in a public place, you are on public land. You're welcome to photograph anyone you want. It's pretty much open slather.

A good point of reference is here aswell - http://www.4020.net/words/photorights.php It's for NSW but the laws are very similar for here too.

The only real question is morality. Go nuts. Don't take photos of government property or restricted areas. Also, try not to get your head bashed in.

What's even better, you can mount SLR lenses on there.

This is a Canon HV30 with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens attached.
