Hey folk
I'm a guitarist (but can do a bit of other stuff) interested in starting/joining a band/livething.. I want something that is quite live focused, but still uses electronic elements. So for example, having a live drummer would be really cool, but would also still be interested in using samples etc. I'm pretty open as far as direction but here are my influences:
Hood, Pinback, LTJ Bukem, Les Baxter (check out his album Hells Belle's), Augustus Pablo, Groundation, Gorillaz, Dick Dale, the Smiths, Pivot.
I'm pretty flexible with what I can do with guitar sounds; textured and dreamy, or dub delayed atmospheric, or 60's fuzz, but even with that sort of thing I tend to go subtle so it adds to but doesn't overpower the music. I'd prefer nothing really dark or really heavy, but that doesn't mean no energy or vibe!
PM me if you have a project going that you might want me to get involved with, or if you just want to have a jam and see what happens.
Cheers
