I wasn't talking about his role.. just the stress he puts himself through for each and every movie.

Maybe you weren't, but the media certainly was.

People were saying "he took the darkness of the character home with him", etc etc.

Watched a few GOLD movies on the weekend.

Wall E was the best of em. OMG i LOVED that movie!!! :smt007 And to think chunks of metal can be cute. Oh and he was. Pixar is always wicked IMO.

And this one shocked me, I was preparing for the pain - I dont do Ben Stiller, I just dont find him very funny anymore. Well, didnt really in the beginning either, its just not for me.
Tropic Thunder however, was a pisser! I found myself laughing, quite a lot actually, and i wasnt even that smashed

Apparently the whole rumour about it just being a rumour that playing the joker contributed to his death was just a rumour!! :teef:

I wasn't saying that his death effected your opinion Direktor, you obviiously felt it. I just think it got more credit because of it, that it added to it because people knew he had passed before it came out. And i think this becuase i find it hard to believe so many people thought it was so brillant when i thought it ws hod-podge weak non character based and inconsistent.

What is the movie he was part made when he passed? Apparently the craziness of that character contributed to his death.

Really. I was totally ready for it. Video store only has 2 copies and had missed it the last few times i had been in, always out an all innit, so when it was in, i was totally ready for it, innit.

But I died a little half way through, and lost hope and put on something else. Tell me it got better and I should try again?

watched Dark Knight and thought it was great, didn't beat Batman Begins, that film was just out of control.

Thought Heath was brilliant! Hands down he was just an awesome actor

I thought they kept Christain Bale from really going for it though, cos i thought in Batman Begins he was amazing, and this time he almost wasn't playing the lead, meh dunno

Derailed = shithouse.

Turned it off 1hr in.

Clive Owen battles valiantly with a shit script and poor supporting cast including the "remember me from friends" Jennifer Aniston and "token homeboy" RZA, amongst others.

Tre ordinaire.

I've no doubt it will be visually stunning, but that doesn't even nearly begin to quash the evils this film will contain.

I guess you don't watch much telly Direkt?! It's freaking EVERYWHERE! Oprah did an hour long interview with Nic and Hugh, and the making of the movie was on the other day too. Saturation point, even before the movie was released

 Nah Mixie, don't watch a hell of a lot of tellie.

TBH, I'd reckon the major market is the US market. And I don't think "Australia" will sound quite so bad over there.

If a movie about Australia is called 'Australia' - I wouldn't consider that arrogant.

Perhaps a simple title, perhaps even unimaginative - but not arrogant.

Alright, there are heaps of movies called America. I think that proves my point even better...I don't know a country more arrogant than the U.S! You don't see 14 titles from Bollywood called 'India' (there are only 5...I checked this time  - and 2 of those are documentaries).

I stand by my statement, I think it's arrogant to name a movie after a whole country when it's only portraying one story, one element, one time-line of said country.

Arrrrgh! Don't get me started about 'Be Kind Rewind'. I get angry at the thought of the time I wasted watching that piece of shit. Bad acting, horrendous script, and horribly sentimental pap! All I am saying is if you haven't seen it, don't! Feel especially cheated because Michel Gondry used to be such a good director.
