it a an old camera, remember the one i showed you a while back? 1956 Voigtlander that my grandfather bought. Anyways its on a fast aperture, but on really sunny days like that one, not much can be done to reduce the light coming into the camera, and i don't like post processing shots that come from this camera cos i like the oldness look and feel to them

The joy of film, eh?
Sunny days calls for slower film. 100ASA/ISO usually does the trick if the sun is out. 400ASA/ISO for the cloudier days, but still, that
may be a little too fast if you're always shooting wide open.
Your compositions are great Liz, however I would suggest straightening your horizons in Photoshop or by hand. You're not always going to be able to shoot straight, but it's good practice when looking through the lens. Plus, straight horizons adds another dynamic to the composition as you get a sense of the depth of each gradient. Ultimately, it's up to you what you wanna do, of course, what the fuck do I know?
Nice photos everyone.
I'll add a few more once I get my batteries charged. No AUS -> EU adapter yet, idiot.

agree, I pretty much straighten every photo, even if only a little bit... of course some don't need straightening. But straighten one pic and compare it to the non-straightened version... makes a HEAP of difference.lynt wrote:Your compositions are great Liz, however I would suggest straightening your horizons in Photoshop or by hand. yeah look I would happily argue that a digital photo is not really a good one until its been processed in photoshop.deviant wrote:agree, I pretty much straighten every photo, even if only a little bit... of course some don't need straightening.
