Been a few years since both were out Gnat.

Bryan Gee was last out @ Factured, back at Se7en.

Dillinja @ Hi-Fi a few years back.

He came out a couple of years ago at Lounge, was a great fun gig, but he was soooo stoned. Played some mad mad tunes.

Think he may have come out last year too, but i can't be sure because it might have been a gig at Poo shute that i was boycotting.

If u like Dillinja - can't go past his "Big Bad Bass" album with Lemon D.

The only Bryan Gee release I have is one from "Movement", which I believe is a double-CD, released a few years back - with Ray Keith holding down the other disc.

bryan gee doesn't produce, but he owns & runs v recordings.

"v classics" is a must-have lp.

dillinja owns/runs valve recordings with lemon d, so check the lp releases "big bad bass", "the killa-hertz", "my sound" (probably the better one for ya), etc.

I totally recommend this double CD...was my very first dnb purchase and I listened to that shit for hours. Top notch anthems abound

My first experience of jungle/dnb was when my brother got into it in the very early 2000s, Started getting mixes and buying cds... I still remember the first thing I ever heard was a mix by Kenny Ken and MC GQ. I still have it, probably still my fav mix... Blew my mind straight away, i loved the sound straight away.

Almost like fate... My first gig was Jungle Run... 4 I think Kenny Ken! And that was just it, I had found my musical home haha. Find it quite frustrating the way it seems to be so hard to find people my age (20) who are into drum n bass, and will actually GO to it live - going to gigs on my own gets quite old - but try to remember to love it for the music itself.

Mainly a jungle man, seeing DJ Remarc recently was like a flashback, but i love everything really. Hope to see the genre gain popularity, loving the new Chase and Status album, and great to hear it getting some triple J airtime, could be more though. Now I'm just waiting for my first Andy C gig in TWO WEEKS TIME! :D

I didn't care for Jungle & D&B much when it first came out, but I was always intrigued by the sounds and the energy.

I remember the year DJ Craze first did a D&B Beatjuggle in the US DMC Finals...and then the year after he used "Sick Notes" by Ed Rush & Optical in the world DMC Finals to incredible effect. I had an appreciation for D&B, but I still wasn't that into it.

Then in 2005 I was introduced to the sounds of Dillinja and it was on and since then it's been a journey into the whole spectrum of D&B, although I do love the darker side of D&B....must be all that Metal and Hip Hop I listened to in High School...

And then I heard "Exodus" by Noisia....floored me, and still does to this day.

From my own DJ experience, D&B - to me - is the most challenging to mix. I've been DJ'ing since I was 12 (I'm 34 now....) and not since my DMC and ITF days have I been pushed to re-learn the art of mixing.

see this is the thing i find hip hop way harder to mix than dnb. dnb just rolls out and as long as you can beat match your pretty safe in the mix. but to be able to beatmatch and then cut a hip hop mix at exactly the right time i find hard.

biggups kuya, dnb needs more crossover artists.
